My friend and I recently had a 3 night stay at 9 Sma Hjem. The hotel reception is in a different building to where the rooms are. Be warned the rooms are on floor 5 of a building with no lift, so some level of fitness is required!! The room was of a good size, quite basic but had everything we needed. Our beds were comfortable. The shower / toilet room is quite small but we managed. Outside in the corridor is a ‘bar’ with coffee, tea etc which was a nice touch. Staff brought breakfast on a tray to us each morning and that always started our day off well. The blinds in our room were quite poor so didn’t prevent light in from the early hours. The hotel itself is in a nice neighbourhood and about a scenic 25/30 minute walk to central Copenhagen. We checked out on a Sunday so the hotel were unable to hold our suitcases and we had a late flight so this was a shame. Just something to be aware of as the reception is only open 8am-4pm Mon-Fri. Overall we had an enjoyable stay, it feels more like an Air BnB but with the added bonus of breakfast served to you each morning! If you are looking for a budget friendly hotel in a nice location then this is the hotel for you.

We stayed here in one of their studio apartments, which was very clean and cozy. Two comfortable beds, kitchen had everything you need and the bathroom was fresh. The location of 9 Smaa Hjem is a bit outside of the city centre, but easy to get there with bus or train. Would stay here again!

I managed to experience two rooms during my six days in Copenhagen. Very basic but clean; the kitchenette and fridge simplified the gastronomic experience in the days I had no time to go out for meals. One of the two experienced apartments was extremely tiny and located next to the entrance to the building; this was never quiet. There were annoying construction works in the building of another apartment, but nights there were silent.

We liked staying here. The rooms were nice and clean and the bed comfy. Breakfast was brought to your room. The neighbourhood was also nice. We didn't mind walking up to the 5th floor and were very happy with the nice views over the roofs of Copenhagen.
