Great hotel in central copenhagen on vesterbrogade, just a stones throw from central station. Great amenities and very hospital staff. Breakfast was amazing and very cozy courtyard on hotel grounds, highly recommended! Only down side, is no AC in hotel rooms.
Loved the Eco aspect and that it still maintained the character of a beautiful European Hotel. Perfect Location and staff was always available. My room had a fantastic balcony and all the comforts needed.
Lovely service, and my room was nicely furnished, with a bit of a boho feel. I appreciated the sustainability measures the hotel was taking. Around the corner from the hotel are a bunch of nice restaurants. The hotel does a lovely breakfast, too.
We had a 5 star experience at this hotel. Very well located, cosy room with balcony, the amenities were the best - you can by them at the front desk. Well decorated with a lovely courtyard. You can rent bike on site. Thank you so much for an adorable stay!
We spent 3 nights at 66 Guldsmeden recently and from the moment we arrived we felt relaxed. All the staff are friendly, helpful and empathetic. The room was spotless and comfortable, amply supplied with lovely eco products. At breakfast, you will be treated to a selection of juices, and a wide choice including delicous jams. It is a haven and we fully recommend it.
Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, a relaxed vibe in the hotel lobby which means you feel more like you are staying at a friend's house and not some corporate group - great for a longer stay. One is happy to hang at the hotel before or after heading out to discover the city - lots of different nooks and crannies to chill in - you want to try them all, indoors and out! The breakfast at the Guldsmeden group is consistently delicious, a huge selection of well prepared , healthy food that again makes you feel you are in someone's home, not a hotel. Generally good concierge service from the people on the desk Why not 5? The only let down (which is not insignificant) was the attention to the room: we were staying 5 nights, so having a clean room did matter. I had to leave a note asking that they clean the bathroom, which had been overlooked. Tea bags were not replaced - bit annoying. It is a green hotel, which is one of the reasons we choose Guldsmeden, but I am not 100% sure they do recycle from the rooms - no separate rubbish bin for recycling paper etc., Appreciate that they don't want to waste laundry, but just one towel is on the "light side" when you want to wash and dry your hair - would have appreciated a second smaller towel Would I go back - definitely…
We loved, loved, loved 66 Guldsmeden and are actually kind of "homesick" for it now that we've moved on to a big, fancy hotel in Stockholm. We miss the intimacy, the ecoconsciousness, the friendly staff (fond thanks especially to Bettina for answering a new round of questions each morning!), the beautiful and delectable breakfast buffet, the several balconies overlooking one charming courtyard or another, the great design sense and funky art on display--really, the whole package. Our room was cozy but not cramped, peaceful overnight, and equipped with everything we could wish for. (Well, OK, we might have liked some air-conditioning at times, but I expect it's against Guldsmeden's principles, which I appreciate. The windows opened, and anyhow there was a fan we could have used if we'd been more enterprising.) The location was great, with easy access to almost any part of the city we wanted to visit, and within a block or so of a charming sidestreet with a French flavor and yet more great cafes and shops.…
Super down to earth. Always accomodating. Breakfast rocks. Great location in Vesterbro. All the essential supplies you need in case you have forgotten any toiletries. I've been staying with them for years and can only give them double thumbs up.
I was asked by the hotel to write a review for Tripadvisor in Danish, here it is in English. We stayed for 5 nights. First room had a leaky sink, shower was poor and we could not get the TV to work. We were moved the next morning to another room, much the same but in better condition. Breakfast was a buffet breakfast, not very inviting nor safe in Covid times. So we cancelled the breakfast for the following days. Staff at reception were helpful and friendly. We found that the price quoted was full price in Covid times, while better hotels in the area were offering great deals for almost half the price.
I spent two nights at the hotel over a weekend and was very happy with the service and room. I thoroughly recommend the hotel. Excellent staff, very nice facilities and a very comfortable and cosy room.
