Travelers' Choice
About 6,000 kilometres from Copenhagen, you will find the world’s centre of bucket list attractions, diversity and culture craving tourists: New York. Here, you can experience live performances, art and neon flashing high-rise buildings on every street corner. We think that you deserve to feel that exact vibe at The Square. As the name reveals, we are located in the first row of the City Hall Square – a place where several thousands of people every day stroll and spurt past each other and the historical buildings, statues and vivid neon signs. Our location also makes The Square a meeting place for international and Danish guests who want to stay in the hub of Copenhagen. Guests who does not ‘only’ want a 4-star night’s sleep, but also enjoy sense impressions, pulse and surprises. Are you one of those guests? In any case, you are welcome to visit us and experience it all, both with open and closed eyes. As a guest at The Square, you can easily fill up your experience account. You see, you are in a walking distance from The King’s New Square, Tivoli Garden, cinemas, art galleries, a cornucopia of shopping temptations at Strøget. We look forward to see you!

The rooms that are sold as triple are actualy double, They are very small and uncomfortable for three people. Rooms overlooking the machinery in the courtyard are awful. It is so noisy that you must keep windows closed all day and night. Then the room is so hot that you need to have the air conditioned on all the time, even at night. As a result, the three of us have come back home with a bad cold. A customer shouldn't be given exactly the opposite of what had been requested. It is rather frustrating, especially when a receptionist confirms that there is availability, but they are keeping better rooms for last-minute customers who will be willing to pay a higher rate. Breakfast is reasonably good, but it is so badly organised and so crowded that it becomes a stressing experience. All in all, we liked the location, but this was my third time in Copenhagen, and it was by far the worst and most expensive place where I have stayed.

We had a perfect stay at The Square. Everything you might expect. In the middle of the city, next to Tivoli and restaurants. Clean rooms and a bed like at home. Breakfast as you wish and great bikes. The Square is the place to be. Tip: parking next to the hotel is to expensive, chose for Q-Park (5 minutes walk).

Decent hotels in Copenhagen are pricey and so was the Square. Here are some pluses and minuses of the hotel: Pluses:😀 -central location -clean and spacious rooms with great toiletries -friendly staff -comfy beds -efficient air conditioning Minuses😒 -we got a room with faulty air conditioning but luckily were changed to another room -the rooms were cleaned very late - we returned from our 6-7-hour stroll after 4pm to rest a bit and the room hadn’t been cleaned on any day of our 4-night stay) -breakfast was quite boring though plentiful - the worrying thing during the pandemic was that the breakfast room was really crowded and social distancing was impossible -if your room faces the square, it could be quite noisy so opt for a quiet room facing the nimet yard

On the doorstep to Rådhuspladsen and Ströget this hotel is on a perfect spot for a weekend in the capital of Denmark Easy acces by you own car och bus/taxi Great service in the reception, value for money and pretty big rooms with an sofa to relax in. A little bit to hard beds for me and my wife, and the breakfest was good but hade a little bit to few stations for coffe/drinks so it easilly became a que. The hotel is easilly great Value for money,

Booked one night together with my family, but after one night we were so pleased that we asked if we could stay one more night, and so we did. Friendly, serviceminded, polite, all you can ask for. One big minus though, the parking fee in the garage next door (not the hotelgarage) was way to expensive, 400 DKK per night.
