We booked a private room with a shared bathroom and that's exactly what we got. Guests had use of a shared kitchen as well which was stocked with free tea and coffee. The guesthouse is on 2 floors of the same apartment building and the only negative I would say is that there was just the one bathroom for around...

We loved the decor and the location, but the bed was very uncomfortable. Very soft mattress that has a "ditch" in the middle and I would end up in the "hole" - the kitchen was so so, lacking some love and care. Overall ok, it depends on the room you get.

We were in the superior room for 2 nights and it was furnished very well. The owner was present almost always and always friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the street is very loud and some objects in the flat are in a bad condition (e.g. washing mashine, dishwasher and a cabinet door in the kitchen) but we would book it again...

As there were many conferences going on in Copenhagen, we could not get a hotelroom and decided to try our luck with this B&B. That was the first disappointment, there is no breakfast " but we do have a fully equipped kitchen" the owner mentioned. The room was spacious but did not have a bathroom/toilet. We had to share these...

POSITIVE: *The location was great as it was a very short walk into the city centre *WiFi was good. *Good T.V in the room with a good range of channels. *Free tea and coffee NEGATIVE: *The guesthouse was wrongly advertised as a B&B - breakfast was not included. Luckily we had enough money to go out for breakfast every day...

We were booking a last-minute business stopover and all hotels were taken so we took a chance here. From the outside, it leaves a lot to be desired - tucked between Oscar's Pizza, some graffiti and a restaurant. It's basically an apartment floor, consisting of 5 or so bedrooms, two communal bathrooms, a kitchen, and seating area. The rooms themselves...

When we first arrived in Copenhagen i was following instructions on how to reach the hotel, however when you follow google maps it takes you to the wrong place (on the same road ... a few doors down). Basically on the door says the same thing 'Rent a Room' however it was a girls house, and she wasnt much help...

Overall we had a good stay at this apartments converted into a hotel. Positives: Really covenient location. Takes 20 minutes by metro to get from the airport to the closest station, plus another 8 mins walk. The place is close to City Centre - ca 15 minutes walk. To add - there are supermarkets and grocery shops nearby. Equiped kitchen...

I'll give both posties and negatives. I'll start with my negatives to get them out the way *the place is not clearly marked. Save the number and phone if you get lost * perhaps an oversight on my part but I didn't realise the bathroom was shared. *the rooms seemed a bit musty. Despite that there are positives. *the staff...

Rent a Room was a delightful place to stay. The location is great with the old town within walking distance and a great bus link to all parts of Copenhagen- we took the bus to the airport as well as the touristy spots. The two gentlemen at Rent a Room were super helpful, going above and beyond their duties. They...

Staying in Amager

Neighborhood Profile
Amager
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.

“Rooms on the street side are slightly larger but have more noise from the street at night.”

“I had a room over the road but wasn't bothered by any street noise. The bare floorboards mean that the apartment can be quite echoey, so best avoid a room next to the front door or shared bathroom if you want a lie-in.”

simon07904, Jan 31, 2013 | Read review
“Rooms 3 and 4 (both doubles) face the main street which we liked because it made us feel connected to the city, but if you prefer a quieter stay then pick room 2 or room 1 (which is the only single) as they face the back courtyard (but are next to the toilet).”
