We had a wonderful experience staying for several nights at this hotel in Copenhagen. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful with any questions and made us feel welcome. They offered great advice and assisted with restaurant reservations too. The breakfast offered at the hotel was always fresh and delicious. The room was clean and quiet. Highly recommend!

Hotel's Favorite
I know this area from my previous visits to Copenhagen but this was the first time we stayed in this area in a hotel. Hotel Bethel is in excellent location, short walking distance to pedestrian only area of downtown. There are numerous restaurants literally a stone throw from the hotel. It could get a little noisy in the evening but it is quiet after 22.00. The hotel is very clean, the included breakfast is excellent and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I fondly remember Glen at the reception desk. Excellent experience, I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Great location right in Nyhavn. We had a great view overlooking the canal. This was a great location within easy walking distance of many great restaurants and sites. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, real was very comfortable and well appointed. Our room was facing the canal, and there is some street noise from the during busier times. In my mind this is expected based on the location, and was not an issue for my wife or I.

We did stay here from Saturday to Monday end of June, in a room in the old church part of the hotel on the third floor with view on the Nyhavn. There was a small elevator, max 2 persons (keycard needed). It is possible to entree the elevator from the outside at right site of the reception entree. The reception is on the first floor. The room was fine with a good shower and toilet. Breakfast on the ground floor was good. Only several restaurants did stay open after 10:00PM. These were the restaurants opposite of the hotel. Despite the beautiful weather we did not experienced much noise nuisance.

This hotel looks beautiful and is well appointed. The rooms are spacious and the staff was friendly. All was good until we got back from dinner and went to go to our room on the fifth floor and the elevator got stuck. We were pushing the alarm button and the alarm goes to an outside company who was trying to call the hotel but no answer, I was trying to call the hotel from my cell phone and was automatically put on hold for over 10 minutes. We were also yelling for help and continuing to push the alarm with no assistance. Finally the elevator started moving and stopped at the next floor. I called the lobby from my room and waited on hold for an additional 10 minutes before someone picked up. I told them I wanted to be moved to a room on the bottom floor which they accommodated and the manager was very apologetic but said they were very busy due to Ironman and Pride week. I explained that there should be some sort of in house emergency response system because they had no clue we were trapped in the elevator. After sleeping on it I decided to ask for some sort of compensation the next morning due to the trauma of the experience that my daughter and I had to endure. I was told by the manager that she could offer me free breakfast and would look into something else but to check back. When I checked back they said there was nothing they could do because I booked through a third party site. I asked if they could cover my dinner from the night before and was told no. The staff at this hotel was very polite, however, I will not stay at this Hotel chain again due to the lack of emergency response they have on site.

We stayed in Hotel Bethel during a Scandinavia tour in Copenhagen and found a delightful place to rest our heads after a very busy day. At first sight, we thought that its location in Nyhavn would not be restful since it was on the main avenue with the crowds of tourists and locals. BUT to our surprise, the hotel atmosphere was quiet and calm. The staff was helpful, the rooms were clean and modern, we had no issues during our stay. The breakfast was typical European, nothing special but everything was fresh.

While the hotel room was basic, the location was excellent, right on the canal with easy access to restaurants, metro, canal boat tour, bike rentals and the river walk. The beds were very comfortable. The wifi was great as it allowed me to work remotely for 2 days. The fan was a life saver, as the room was sunny but cooled off at night with the fan. Overall a very nice stay for 2 nights.

Right on Nyhavn – ie, in the midst of much action. Were worried that our room over canal would be noisy in the night, but indeed quieted down and peaceful. Rooms a bit sparse and small. Not air conditioned. Simple breakfast; nice, generally helpful staff.

The hotel is in the best location in Copenhagen, right on the waterfront overlooking the canal. The buildings here are old, colorful, and traditional. The outside of the hotel could use a little touch-up of paint, but the inside looks great. The standard rooms are small, which is typical for the area. I did not see the superior rooms. These face the canals and may have some noise at night, so we chose to face the courtyard. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. The staff was especially accommodating. Breakfast starts at 7, but we had to leave early for our flight, and the staff opened up the breakfast room for us at six. Most hotels give you a paper bag with a pastry and maybe some fruit or yogurt, but we had the entire breakfast experience. We would book at this hotel again if we find ourselves in Copenhagen.

My party of 2 adults and 2 teens spent 1 night here for an airport layover. Location is excellent, right on the Nyhavn canal (i.e. tourist area) surrounded by cafes and places to walk. The bldg looks like it used to be a 19th century warehouse, but it's been thoroughly converted inside. Very clean and modern. Only 20min metro ride from the airport and the metro stop is maybe 200m from the hotel, so very easy to access and find. Our room was large and modern. Bed super comfortable. Wifi excellent. Bathroom very nice. Breakfast was excellent. We were very satisfied.
