I spent quite a bit of time trying to find a hotel that wasn't too expensive (very hard in Denmark!), in an attractive area and fairly close to public transport. The Hotel Maritime turned out to be a good choice. It's ten minutes to the Nyhavn area and about the same to the metro. The room was quite small but...

The hotel was chosen for its location and reasonable price. It is within walking distance of most major attractions in Copenhagen and also close to the metro station. The room was functional - not particularly attractive, but clean and containing necessary items. The bathroom was clean and the shower was hot. Breakfast was nice, with a variety of food. Hot...

The rooms are excellent as well as the service, the decor of the hotel is inspired by the sea. It has a good restaurant on the premises. Its across from the sea and the views from the hotel to the sea are amazing.

This hotel is located perfectly! It is close to the harbour and the Metro (About a 5 minute walk!) Along the harbour there are plenty of places to eat and have a drink. The hotel was basic but clean. The bathrooms are very basic and not the best, very dated but they did the job! The showers were quite small!...

Dated interior, intermittent internet, bathrooms that feel like you are on a boat, and yucky carpet with small beds. Worst thing is they are impersonal. No place to securely store luggage with often, but not always, gruff staff. I will not stay here again.

This hotel is centrally located. But got dirty carpet and noise from both next door room (they did not make noise , but you can hear everything) and elevator who disturb you if you have a room close to it... I really dont understand hotels that dont have a carpet cleaner!

Hotel Maritime is very well located. You can go to all the main sites on foot. Breakfast was very good. Hotel is very clean. Room was small but who cares, it's just to sleep. After a long day of museums and castles, it's nice to relax in the evening and unfortunately only BBC and CNN on TV. I would recommend...

I stayed in a room for three people (with my partner and son). We had three single beds in a perfectly functional room, with free wi-fi; shower room; and access to a fridge and large sink in the hallway outside our room. Breakfast was included in the price and this was very good value by Copehagen standards. The hotel was...

I’ve booked a single room in this hotel. Otherwise many other hotels where you get a standard double room and pay single occupancy, this was not the case: the room was a genuine single room, with 12 square meters and a bed that fit exactly one person. I prefer a bed and a pillow that are not so soft, but...

Neighborhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
