The overall impression of the hotel when arriving was " really?!!" We had booked it because of the possible parking. Don't let it fool you- the parking is wherever you find the street spot- near or far from hotel- as safe as the streets are. We were upgraded when staff realized we had understood they offered parking " payable self... More

Budget hotel, budget it was you get. Not fair from central station and an OK walk to the city centre assuming it's dry and the weather is ok. Quiet location but walk for a few minutes in the wrong direction and you're in the red light district and the street where the homeless drinkers of Copenhagen frequent. Choose the side... More

I do not know where to begin. It has been about 3 months since my stay at this hotel and I hope that the renovations are finished. Already on arrival to the entrance door there are dangling cables and dust everywhere that is distributed evenly throughout the hotel. Very nice the opportunity to have a breakfast, with good weather, in... More

Smallest room imaginable. Not much space in toilet. If you're even slightly overweight don't consider. Only one person can move at a time. No space for suitcases. Plus point is that's it's near station and bus links.

We booked this hotel for 4 nights in Copenhagen. The hotel is in great location minutes from the central train station less 10 minute walk. We took the train from airport to central train station for 5 euros per person. On our arrival the front desk was not the most inviting we have ever experienced. The room is small but... More

A small hotel near the train station, Tivoli and main street in Copenhagen. The hotel is clean and the people are very friendly and helpful. A buffet breakfast is included and has a variety of food to choose from. There are many local restaurants and shops in this area. Local authorities are trying to improve this section of Copenhagen, to... More

Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Ansgar. It was a little annoying that we thought breakfast was included, only to be told due to renovations it wouldn't be but to be honest, not that much of a big deal. Rooms are really comfy, the wifi is BRILLIANT and the bedrooms are nice and toasty, which is perfect for when its... More

We visited for a long weekend and the hotel was ideal as it is situated just 3 minutes walk from the central train station. The room was a reasonable size although the en suite was a little tight. A continental breakfast is served which offers a good variety of food to start the day off. Staff were helpful. We would... More

Simple hotel close to the train station. The room and bathroom were tiny and we heard our neighbors loud and clear. The room was clean but gave an impression of being slightly worn down. Breakfast had a variety of choices but no scrambled eggs or bacon. It felt more like a family breakfast, not a buffet. In my opinion hotels... More

The location of the hotel was very good based on the price available. Rooms were small and not so comfortable. We were told to pay the baby bed at the check-out which was not mentioned while check-in. Parking was very easy on the road. We were there during Christmas and Tivoli gardens were very close.

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighborhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
