Nestled in the heart of the city, Good Morning City Copenhagen Star garners praise for its central location, which many guests find convenient for exploring local attractions and its proximity to the train station. The welcoming atmosphere, complete with charming personal touches, is a highlight for visitors.
While the rooms are considered clean and comfortable, some reviewers noted their compact size and the need for updated bathrooms. The service receives accolades for attentiveness and friendliness, though opinions on value and the extent of amenities offered are mixed.

The best thing about the hotel is its proximity to the central train station and the city center, as well as the staff who, without being crazy about friendliness, at least many of them spoke Spanish and that made things easier.
The worst is the cleaning issue, which you should request. If you don’t request room cleaning, they come the third or fourth day (I don’t remember) and clean you, or so they say. We requested cleaning and all they did was change towels and take out the trash, the rest like the bathroom, it was dirty every day, not a little bleach to the toilet. It was quite unpleasant, as I do not go on holiday to be asking to be cleaned and getting nervous with reception or with cleaning service on account of my room being cleaned well. In the bathroom they have a shower curtain that the truth already needed a change, the part that got wet was already like a cardboard of so much getting wet and dirty.
Breakfast was correct and quite enough to get out in the terrible cold of Copenhagen. The first days there was natural orange juice or it seemed, already the last day was boat juice, but really breakfast was quite correct and enough. You have the possibility to drink coffee or tea during the day for free in the lounge and a happy hour in the afternoon, with 2 beers for the price of one (or something like that).
The bed was also quite soft, if I moved, my wife also ended up jumping on the other side, it was a thin mattress and under an old spring box (I imagine). I think there are better options around town, unless you don't mind what I've already said.

My husband and I stayed last week for 4 nights at the Good Morining City Cponhagen Star. It is a hotel with a very good location, as it is 1 minute from the train station and 7 from the Tivoli. It also has restaurants and small shops in the area. The room was very nice for two people, very practical and comfortable, the ideal temperature, the bathroom well conditioned and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was varied and all very rich. The staff was very, very friendly and nice, willing for any queries or questions.
Adenás have a very nice corner with pictures of dogs that have visited the hotel, the room service is on demand (something that is very good to contribute to the environment) and on arrival there was a message in the mirror of the room welcoming us, without doubt, a whole detail.
I highly recommend it.
THANK YOU.

I needed somewhere to stay for one night only near the main train station in Copenhagen. I had previously stayed at the Absalon hotel which was good, but chose the Good Morning Hotel as it looked similar and was slightly more affordable (but still not cheap for a single room).
The receptionists were unfailingly cheerful each time I passed and very helpful. However my room was disappointing, as it looked quite tired, and although I had only booked a single room I had expected enough floor space to be able to open my suitcase without putting it on the bed - as I had dragged it through some appalling rain on my way from the station I was worried about this. It was late September but the radiators had not been switched on so I was cold. I did run the hairdryer in the bathroom for a bit which took the edge off the cold. It didn’t help that I was damp from the rain and never managed to quite dry out.
The bed was fine, quite comfy with clean fresh linen but the towels were very small and a bit worn. The shower room was also quite cramped - why hotel designers and managers think that one person needs a smaller bathroom than a couple is beyond me as only one person at a time uses the bathroom anyway. But it was impossible to sit on the loo without getting tangled up in the shower curtain. The sink was cracked also.
My main issue was that the TV didn’t work - this is a theme of this holiday in that this is the third hotel of this trip where there have been issues with the TV. Luckily I had some things already downloaded onto my iPad. The WiFi appeared quite good. There was no safe in the room and no kettle but on the ground floor all guests could help themselves to tea or coffee or flavoured water. My second issue was the noise in the room both from outside and inside the room- there was a vent high up on a wall which had been gaffer taped over and there was a continuous hissing noise escaping around this vent. I have no idea if the vent had a purpose other than to irritate guestbut it meant I had quite a disturbed night sleep.
Finally breakfast was a bit of a scrum. Tables for six with only two people sat there and no efforts by the limited staff to sort it out. The variety at breakfast was quite good although I just had cereal and pastry

My partner and I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond at all times to provide us with everything we needed (extra toiletries, luggage storage, etc.) We were even surprised with a little welcome note in our room. The breakfast buffet provided a great range of fresh fruit, cereal, eggs and bacon plus pastries, pancakes and bread/ham/cheese, though it was sometimes difficult to find a seat! Housekeeping was not done on a daily basis (it is provided every fourth day), meaning we did run out of toilet paper at one point, but this was quickly remedied with a quick word to reception, and you are free to request housekeeping before noon on any given day. Other reviewers mentioned that it could be a noisy location, but we personally didn't experience any issues of that kind. 4.5 out of 5.

Dear Lesley, thank you for the feedback. We are thrilled to hear that you had an excellent stay and enjoyed our friendly/helpful staff, welcome message in the room, breakfast, quietness of the hotel and luggage facilities. As you mentioned we have an ecofriendly approach to the cleaning, so it's either done by demand or every 4th day automatically. We appreciate your understanding regarding seating during rush hour in our breakfast area. Hope to welcome you back again for another excellent stay. Best regards, Copenhagen Star Team

the room was comfy and had all the necessities, along with some cute personalized welcome notes from the staff. i really care for the environment, so i like that the room wasn't unnecessarily cleaned when it didn't need to be, and that it was encouraged to re-use towels. (note: you CAN get a daily cleaning and more towels if you want, but i personally love this more sustainable approach.) the bed was really comfy and i slept well every night. my room was overlooking a courtyard and there was some noise, but nothing too bad.
the staff were very kind and helpful. i had some trouble with my key card (most likely my own fault) and they were very understanding and helpful every time. the breakfast was awesome, definitely recommend! idk about vegan options, but at least for a vegetarian (and a slightly picky eater, lol) it was really good. i also enjoyed the general vibe of the hotel, the decor and plants were lovely.
would come again, for sure!

Convenient for Central Station the room was as described. Upon check-in there was an issue where I was charged for a room I'd already paid for in full, even though I advised the receptionist I'd paid online she proceeded to take payment saying something about direct security payment to hotel. Upon checking later I discovered that I'd been charged in full again. This matter was quickly resolved and a full refund issued with an apology. Prior to arriving I'd also requested an iron and board, this request wasn't fulfilled, resulting in another trip to reception! The room itself was very basic, not even a kettle, although I knew this at the time of booking. The bathroom was especially poor, dated and cramped. Breakfast was good with a variety of foods.

The location of this hotel prompted us to book. The room was a bit cheaper directly on the website than on booking.com. It takes 2 minutes to get to Copenhagen train station and breakfast is highly recommended. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful - they also speak different languages - GREAT.
There could be more TV channels (including German ones) on the TV - our bathroom was a bit older - but the cleanliness was perfect.

We went to Copenhagen for our wedding and they arranged in secret with my family after we booked our rooms special arrangements and the team was awesome, friendly and helped whenever something came up.
The building has a nice older charm in the floors, which is awesome and I really like it. Only draw back is that then due to this building age the room space is limited and bathrooms are a bit small.
Greetings to all of the team, and thank you again for everything.
Location is so close to the central station, airport is reached in about 20-25 minutes and still it is not really noisy, as the hotel is not on one of the main streets directly, which makes it perfect.
Can absolutely recommend.

When booking ask not to be put in room 112, it's next to the cleaning cupboard and the clraner was banging about from 6:30am.
Location is great, right next to the station.
Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was buffet style and varied. The fresh sourdough bread each morning was excellent.
The staff couldn't hsve been better. We had fun with all of them.

Room for five person was OK but the bathroom was really small and the moquette could be better cleaned. The breakfast was good, but finding a seat for a family of five person has been a challenge every day. Really good position, and personal at the hotel really nice.

Dear MeiKeeC3
Uber does unfortunately not opperate in Copenhagen. The best way to get around is either public transportation, and you can buy day passes in the Central Station, or taxi companies.
Best wishes,
