The positives: comfortable bed. 2 mins to the central station. Competent staff. Fresh breakfast. Even better if: less street noise, thicker light blocking curtains, more modern decor (paint marks on the hallway carpets suggest work is in hand), bookings for double beds were honoured. For budget hotel standards, this was reasonable.

This hotel was in a good location, close to Central station and Tivoloi Gardens. The rooms were good for the price we paid, clean and comfortable. It was obvious there had been renovations happening on our floor ( paint on the hall carpets, which I assume will be replaced) but it didn't worry us. Would stay here again.

No more no less, good position in the city near the train station and some restaurant. Room clean, not very noisy, basic breakfast. Service at the minimum. But enough for a couple of days. It is Just for sleep...

I picked this hotel as it was the best balance I could find between price and a decent room. Hotel prices are ridiculous in Copenhagen and aren't particularly great for what you pay for. I had a pleasant stay at Copenhagen Star Hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was nice and clean. The hotel is centrally located and a...

They were in the midst of renovating, which they should say on their website because I am pregnant and I never would have stayed in a freshly painted, new carpet room full of fumes if I knew. I felt sick the whole time. And they wouldn't let me find somewhere else to stay and refund me. Our heater didn't work....

We are family of 5 with young children. We stayed on a family room for 4 nights at the 2nd floor. The room and bathroom is clean. Beds are comfy. Amenities are basic, just a kettle and coffee & tea. No fridge. Room is cleaned every day. Reception and restaurant staff are helpful. The best thing is, the hotel is...

After reading the TripAdvisor reviews, I was worried about the stay, however, it turned out to be just fine and good value for money. The hotel is only two minutes walk from the central station and five minutes walk from the Tivoli Gardens, basically gets you to places in Copenhagen quickly. It feels safe around the area and had no...

This hotel is good value for those on a budget and is great location for trains and buses. Room was clean and comfortable and Reception service friendly. As others have commented the hotel is in the red light district which is very obvious in the evening. However I felt perfectly safe (with my 2 daughters). Good choice of breakfast items...

We stayed here for the weekend and booked via booking.com with a special offer. The hotel was basic but clean. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was a wet room. Was fine for what we wanted as we spent most of the time in the city exploring. Literally 2 min walk from central station.

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighborhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
