This is a good choice if you want to be central and require reasonable comfort without paying very much. You want large rooms? Air conditioning? Sumptuous breakfasts? Idyllic quiet? Wrong place. But the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast is reasonable, the wifi is fast, it's 5 minutes from he Metro, 10 from Tivoli and the Central... More

Average hotel room with a nice balcony. Location is convenient. It is a bit loud due to train station in case you have a room with windows going out to the train track side. Staff is helpful, efficient and very friendly. Hotel offers whatever you need including a bar. It is just that everything is on the old side. It... More

My opinion about this hotel is good. It has all the expected services and is about 7 minutes walking to the city center. Very close to the central station and Tivoli attraction it has clean an comfortable room. At the time I booked my company found also a good price.

The room was a great size. It was actually two rooms with connecting door but they call it the family room. It was a great size for three teens and their parents. And it had AIR.What I didn't like was the overall vibe of the place. The staff was unfriendly. But possibly people in Denmark don't like American tourists....who knows.... More

Its not a Mercure Hotel, my oversight. We booked months ago and asked for a rear room due to train and road noise, we arrived to find no rear room available, my email had not been attached. The noise from the trains went on all night, you couldn't open the window as the noise would increase, no sleep that night.... More

Really well placed, particularly for the station and metro. Easy to walk to lots of places of interest and shipping streets from here. Room was clean and comfortable but very warm. ( Mind you, found indoors everywhere very warm in Copenhagen!) Didn't find it excessively expensive for the area.... actually paid less than my friend paid for a 2 *... More

We were asked if we would like a rook in the backside of the hotel (quiet) or a room with a view. (more noisy) We took the room with a view, and it was so nice. On the 6th floor, and even had our own little terrace with a impressive view. A bit more privacy to sides would have been... More

I was reading the reviews about Copenhagen Mercur Hotel in this forum and they were not very encouraging. Despite the negative reviews, I along with my family have decided to book Standard Double Room at this hotel as it is very close to the Central Station. Honestly, this place is very good and the room was very comfortable and spacious.... More

The good news is the front desk people were very nice letting us store luggage early and check in about 1 p.m. WiFi good. Hotel minimal with sparse furniture, street noise though we were on 5th floor, breakfast very basic, close to train station. Learned there is a much better area to stay near major stores and a canal and... More

We were three people staying at this hotel, one double room and one single room. I stayed in the double room. We got a room on the sixth floor (Room 609), the only floor that had balconies with a city view (past the train lines right in front of the property). Copenhagen was very hot that weekend, and since the... More

Staying in Indre By (Inner City)

Neighborhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
