We stayed in Admiral for three nights. We were welcomed with a room upgrade! Our room was at the second floor and had a view at the canal and at the opera. It was spacious enough and clean. The only problem was that it didn't have an air condition -although it is a 4star hotel- and it was a little...

Our family stayed at the Admiral after returning from a cruise. The castle is a block away in the , so even though our rooms were not ready upon arriving, we decide to take a stroll to the castle, see the Opera House across from the hotel, walked a little bit father to se the Little Mermaid and other attractions,...

This hotel is an old reneovated wearehouse with a lot of charm. But it also means that rooms are quite different, quite dark and with an alternative design such as big and visible timber-work. It is a rather big hotel and dont expect any intimate atmosphere or personal tuch. But if Your are looking for a centrally located hotel in...

I would have given an excellent rating, but it was rather noisy. This is not the fault of the hotel and we were told about the construction work when we checked in and offered a room on the street side. The builders stopped by 6pm so we did get a good nights sleep although the lack of air conditioning made...

Webooked this hotel as we had stayed here before in 2007 and enjoyed our previous stay. The hotel hasn't aged at all and the rooms were as expected, clean and fresh. The hotel is in a great spot and will be even better when they finish the alterations to the waterfront. The drama theatre is nearby with a lovely restaurant...

Our family stayed in two charming rooms in July 2013. The hotel manager and staff were courteous and helpful. The location was excellent. Easy stroll to Nyhavn, Strøget, and Amalienborg. We will stay here again.

Stayed at hotel for two nights and were pleased with the service of the staff and the food both at the breakfast buffet and outside in the courtyard overlooking the bay. The rooms were good, but one must be careful about the beams, as this is a renovated warehouse. As it was hot during the month, it was necessary to...

First of all, our room did not face the view, so none of that meant anything to us. Second it was a hot day and the rooms have no air conditioning. Third, our shower curtain was mildewy and smelly. Best thing is we had a place to stay in a beautiful location near the water and we had a lovely...

The staff is courteous, knowledgable and goes about the tasks with the utmost care. The grounds are kept in good condition and the location is central to the sights, and cruise ship terminals. Now for the caution. We made reservations almost a year in advance and knowing of the "wood beams in some rooms" problem, specifically asked for a room...

Perfectly good hotel and fair value in an expensive city. Rooms are on the small side and no air conditioning - we were then it was sunny and warm. Also, building works going on which woke you up in the morning if you had the window open. Staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. The Salt bar and restaurant also very...

Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
