#20 of 129 hotels in Copenhagen
Travelers' Choice
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty.

Lovely hotel in a great part of the city, short walk to all the main attractions. The hotel is very clean, the staff are very friendly and the rooms are kitted with all mod cons. My expectations were exceeded! My only gripe was the building work which started at 5am across the road at the Embassy. This was not the hotels fault but if you like your sleep get a room water side. I would definitely come to this hotel again 👍

Hotel's Favorite
I had a 6 night stay at he Copenhagen Admiral Hotel and it was an amazing experience. The staff are quite friendly, I was upgraded to a larger queen sized room without asking. The interior design of the room is striking, with all heavy timber beams and columns that contrasts beautifully with the newly renovated interior. The furniture are also very nice Danish designs and the brass fittings are a great, classy touch. The bed is super soft, it was like sleeping on clouds. Great amenities as well including Bluetooth speakers for the bathroom, generous closet space, and coffee chairs and table. The hotel’s brick structure is also apparent inside in the hotel corridors. The location is quite central, with Nyvhavn and the Little Mermaid statue just a few minutes away by foot. And of course, you are only a short 10-20 minute bike ride from every spot in central Copenhagen. I highly recommend renting a bike at Copenhagen Bikes bear Nyhavn. I would definitely love to return to this hotel next time I’m in Copenhagen.

We stayed for 3 nights and were very pleased. We didn’t visit the hotels restaurant or bar but besides that we had a great experience. The sauna was very clean and privat and the friendliness of the staff was very pleasing.

Best location in Copenhagen, friendly service, beautiful rooms with a sensational view to the harbor and the opera. Definitely a hotel to be recommended to friends. I would book the hotel again in case of a trip to Copenhagen.

Would absolutely stay at this location in future visits to Copenhagen. Located in a lovely area of Copenhagen, next to tourist spots such as the Nyhavn, but still quiet. Local convenience stores within a few minutes walk. Rooms were very spacious and well designed. Did notice a lot of cobwebs/spiders in the corridors; I believe the building is undergoing some renovation work at the moment, so corridor cleaning may be less than usual currently. Sauna and steam room were a nice perk. Access to bikes was also very useful. Front-desk staff were all incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. Great value for the price.
