We stayed at the Imperial hotel for 4 nights in July. It is located about 10 minutes walk from Copenhagen central train station. The hotel was very busy and seemed to have a lot of coach parties staying there. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, the lobby and reception were well presented. Our room was clean and well... More

The room was fairly large by European standards. There is a room safe for valuables. The bed was comfortable and had a duvet which kept you comfortably warm. It was very close to Tivoli and many of the major walking streets where you could go shopping. The complimentary breakfast was good with lots of fruit choices and would accommodate most... More

I have mixed feeling about this place. From a 4 star hotel you expect a little more tha imperial is offering. To start with the lobby; it is very dark and old looking. It could use some referbishing. The rooms have enough light, very good beds, quiet. The furniture looks a little bit worn out with edges scratched, floor scratched...... More

We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to the Central Station and Tivoli. We planned to visit Tivoli on the day of arrival but was not able to do so because we had to stay for 3 hours in the airport after our flight to file a complaint for missing luggage. it was a 20 minute train ride... The staff was helpful and accommodating. The room was on the smaller size but had the essentials. Once in the room, it was not large enough for the wheelchair. This was okay because she was able to walk around. The elevator was barely large enough to get the wheelchair into but did not leave space for companion. The beds were... More

This hotel is within easy walk of Copenhagen's central railway station, and as this country has an excellent public transport system being close to the metro - across the road and bus stops plus the railway station its an ideal location. Also the city center is a brisk 15 minute walk through some interesting side streets. As for the hotel... More

Centrally located. Accessible to a good deal of places in Copenhagen by foot or by cycle. Decent buffet. Courteous staff. Book only if you're offered a fair deal! Rooms are big enough for two, wouldn't recommend it for 3 adults. Note to the hotel: The rooms could've been planned better - all mirrors are in the bathroom, a mirror in... More

Spent 3 nights here whilst visiting Copenhagen together with two other people. We shared a 3 bed room, not a big room however it was still enough. Excellent location, close to restaurants, bars, Tivoli and Nyhavn. Breakfast buffé was good and decent selection however quite expensive. Copenhagen is an expensive place to visit so compared to other hotels I think... More

Imperial Hotel is steps from the old city and the pedestrian only streets. The rooms are modern, comfortable and quiet with good air conditioning. Breakfast is included - typical Danish bread, meat, cheese, yogurt along with bacon and eggs. Excellent service from the staff!

Caters well to tour groups (we were one of at least 3 here at the same time), yet surprisingly not that noisy, efficient check in process. Rooms a good size with a comfortable and clean modern bathroom. Easy walking distance (<10min) to Tivoli Gardens. Full hot/cold buffet breakfast was spectacular. Group dinner featured a fresh caprese salad that was delicious,... More

Neighborhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
