4 of us are spending three nights at the Scandic Palace. It is right next to the City Hall in the heart of the old town. The rooms are adequate for sure. But the best things about the hotel are its location, the lovely people...More
A good central location at the city hall square and within easy walking distance of most attractions, we were disappointed at the frayed lobby when entering the hotel and the wait it took at the front desk ( during our stay the reception staff seemed...More
Stayed here a couple of nights on our journey through parts of Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

I am a frequent traveler to Europe and Scandic Palace is without a doubt one of the worst hotels I have ever had the displeasure of staying at. We booked a junior suite with the bedroom loft which seemed satisfactory at first. By evening it...More

This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding
neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

I read that a car park is available. We were in Copenhagen at the Scandic Palace and apart from the train ride into town on the day we arrived and a taxi ride on the day we left, we WALKED EVERYWHERE. Copenhagen is a small city. The locals and visitors merely walk or bike to places. You may find the car to be more of an inconvenience.
