We really enjoyed our stay here - great location, very comfortable bed, lovely breakfast, free Wi Fi. Nice touch with the free Wine Hour at 5 o'clock every day too. The main downside was the lack of air condioning as it was hot during our stay.

we chose this hotel based on reviews and location. For the most part our expectations were met. We were in the "amazing junior suite" on the first floor. It was warm in the room and there is no air conditioning in the hotel. The junior suite is on the corner of the hotel just at the intersection of two streets.... More

Location is great, staff very friendly and helpful. No need to wait for service when checking in/out or when in need of assistance. Great bicycle service. Wine hour nice touch. Rooms quite small but quiet. But too hot to get a good night's sleep when in middle of July and no air conditioner. Breakfast - good that it's Eco but... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the end. Our first room was a little too compact, but for the next 2 nights we had something slightly bigger. An informal yet comfortable Hotel, with one lift, and excellent beds. Very near the main railway station. Very attentive service.

This is one of the best boutique hotels I've ever been as guest. The owners have thought of everything: from decoration of the room, sleep comfort ( Boxspring bed ) and peaceful; spacious bathroom, free wifi ( no password necessary ), cleanliness. The breakfast was first rate and had all you could wish for. The staff were friendly and the... More

A perfect located hotel. Small, but nice rooms. Comfortable beds. A little backyard with nice lounge furniture to drink the complimentary wine in, although you had to share the backyard with some trash.

My daughter & I stayed here for a few nights while visiting Copenhagen. We loved the hotel's decor and it is in a good location - close to everything but out of the crowds. The breakfast was delicious and the wine hour an added bonus. The staff was extremely friendly & helpful. We were interested to see what surprise treats... More

I'm writing this review at 5:30 a.m., as a hotel worker rolls a metal shopping cart contraption back and forth in the courtyard outside my window. The noise echoes and reverberates up through my open window (necessarily open as it has been warm and there is no air conditioning). I yell out the window and ask her to stop. She... More

We loved Copenhagen and the Andersen hotel was a major reason why. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was so much better than we had hoped, and the location was perfect to get to different areas of the city. However, one of our fondest memories will be enjoying the cocktail hour, sipping wine, playing backgammon and having friendly... More

I had a great experience at the Andersen. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and always available. The wine hour and honesty bar were great. I was traveling with a group but decided to stay at this hotel instead of with them and I am so happy with my decision. I've read that some people were put off by... More

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighborhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
