Where do I start! The hotel is located around 5 minutes walk from Copenhagen central station and we were created by very friendly and helpful reception staff. The lift was broken during our stay but the guy on reception kindly carried my partners case up to our room on the 3rd floor. We stayed in a standard double room, which was small with little storage but most cities are similar so this wasn’t an issue. The free breakfast and complimentary glass of wine between 5 and 6 were very nice gestures from the hotel. If you decide not to have your room cleaned, you have the option of a free gift which is either a sweet treat, discount on bike hire or a voucher for the bar of the hotel opposite. The hotels honesty bar is also a nice touch. Must admit, I was a fan of the big teddy bears in the reception and the knitting a scarf for the homeless which you ask your guests to help with, brilliant! Tivoli gardens is around 10 minutes walk from here (opposite side of central station), Nyhavn is around 30 minutes walk from the hotel, but is a nice walk through the main shopping streets. Copenhagen is an amazing city, everyone is so friendly, including the hotel staff, and we cannot wait to return. Thank you for contributing to a wonderful city break.

The hotel is in a great location minutes from the station and Tivoli. It is clean and the rooms are decorated lovely it is quite dark in the rooms because all of the shades are dark. The room was very very small little room between the bed and the wardrobe which made it difficult to get in to, the bed was so so soft it was like a water bed when someone moves the other person feels it straight away. I have a soft/medium bed at home but this was too too soft I know it’s individual taste the pillows are not full size I guess we could have asked for more but don’t like to bother if we don’t have to. The breakfast was beautiful the staff filled and cleaned the whole time which was brilliant. The team at reception were amazing so pleasant and knowledgeable nothing too much trouble. We loved the tea coffee and hot chocolate throughout the day when we came back for a pit stop we had a hot cuppa. We didn’t take advantage of the wine but it seems 99% of the other guests did and enjoyed it so that’s good. We also loved the scarf knitting for the homeless well my 2 friends did I made the drinks while they knitted they found it very relaxing. Only other small issue was the lift was broken the whole 4 nights we were there good exercise but hard to get your case up and down the stairs.

We appreciate you took the time to write this lovely review about your stay with us. It makes us very happy to hear that you had a great time at Andersen Boutique Hotel. We have different types of double rooms ranging from Cool Doubles, which are our smallest type of double rooms, to Wonderful Mega Doubles, with two bathrooms, a double bed, and a sofa. Our guests are always welcome to contact the reception if they would like some extra pillows, and we will be happy to arrange it. We apologise for the inconvenience with the lift, and we understand the nuisance. We did our best, but unfortunately, we had to hold on for some days to get it fixed. However, our lovely staff was always available to help with bringing the luggage up to the room and down to the lobby if needed. We always work hard to make our guests’ stay as pleasant as possible! We thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to welcome you again in the future! Kind regards, Bethy Guest Relations Team

Fantastic hotel. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by really friendly staff and a clean modern hotel. We arrived at 11, 1 of our 4 rooms was already available to check in! Wonderful breakfast, complimentary coffee 24/7. And a fully stocked bar. 1 member of staff particularly good was Stefan, he helped with points of interest and craft beers sights with his own recommendations which we used frequently. He suggested restaurants and even booked the tables for us, one of the best hotel staff I’ve ever met!!! Lots of lovely little things about this hotel that you don’t get from the horrible big chains; sweets, fires places, hotel room windows that fully open, with views, beautiful decor. Highly recommended this hotel. Highly highly recommended speaking to Stefan at the reception if you do!

Fantastic stay last weekend. We travelled to Copenhagen and stayed at the Andersen to meet up with friends to vsit the Cristmas markets . Intotal we were a party of 13 which for this size city hotel was hard to accomodate us all at one time for breakfast. The hotel satff were amazing, rearannging tables setting up places so we could all sit down together.Nothing over the whole weekend was too much trouble for our party from start to finish The front desk on both days were manned by very friendly staff both who helped us with directions suggestions and supplied marked site sighting maps . Staff friendly and helpful. room very clean well presented. Publice areas very comfortable bright clean well presented. food selection wide and varied and fresh. honesty bar great idea. location central Copenhagen near to metro and central station. Great value for money If any downside the rooms sleeping 3 were a bit tight with sofa bed extended but by no means a problem and the money saved far out ways the lack of sapce Rating 9/10 Great value clean great location family couples very good breakfast wil be back and will reccomened

Thank you for sharing such a great and detailed review. It's such a pleasure to hear you and your entire group of people had a wonderful time here at our hotel. We recommend our Amazing Junior suites for more space in case you are 3 or 4 people staying with us. All our Amazing Junior Suites have sofas that can be turned into beds. In case you are 4 adults, we recommend two separate rooms. We are so grateful for your kind recommendation and happy to hear you will return and stay with us again in the future. We cannot wait to welcome you back. Kind regards, Maiken Jensen Guest Relations Team

If the lift was not working (they fix it though) it would have been a great overall experience. This is based on the hotel's ideal location, friendly staff, and quality breakfast that was rich, varied, and fresh. The rooms are quirky, and the staff is very warm and helpful. The 'Hygge' (a Danish term for coziness and comfortable conviviality) retro-inspired decor Hotel, is situated close to the meatpacking district's restaurants and bars.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay at Andersen Boutique Hotel. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the Danish "hygge" here with us during your stay in Copenhagen. We did everything we could to fix the elevator, but unfortunately, it was out of our hands in the end, so we had some days without it. Maybe it needed a small vacation. Luckily for us, our great team helped with the luggage for all the guests and it's back up and running again. We have many great restaurants around us in our area and we are located close to the hip and popular Meatpacking district where a lot of local people go and eat. We hope we get the chance to welcome you back with us again in the future. Kind regards, Maiken Jensen Guest Relations Team

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review about your stay at Andersen Boutique Hotel. It makes us so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us, and that you were also able to check in earlier! We guarantee the room from 14:00, but if the guests arrive before that time, and the room is ready, they can, of course, check in! Otherwise, we also have a luggage room where it is possible to store the luggage and explore the city in the meantime while waiting to check on. Thank you for your kind words toward Alexander! He never disappoints with his recommendations! We all work hard to make our guests’ stay as pleasant as possible. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to welcome you back soon! I love this boutique hotel. It’s a few mins walk from the station. The staff on reception are so lovely. The bedrooms are super clean. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Very close to Tivoli. The only thing I would say is that I would take a stronger hairdryer than the one in the bathroom as they are quite basic but adequate. Love the coffee machines in the reception area and the happy hour between 5-6

We've just returned from spending five nights at the Andersen Hotel and it was truly joyous experience. The hotel is ideally located being close to Central Station, within easy walking distance of the shopping area and with a good selection of restaurants nearby. My wife walks with a stick and an hour or so after we'd checked in and were sitting in the bar the guy on reception came up to us and asked us if we would like to change rooms to one with a walk in shower to make life easier for her, it was such a thoughtful and much appreciated gesture that typified the experience we had here. The whole hotel has a very relaxed ambience and everything is designed to maximise the guest experience whether it be the range of food at breakfast, the free tea/coffee/hot chocolate in the bar, the free fruit in reception or the free glass of wine every evening between 5.00 & 6.00pm. The "Go Green" initiative of offering gifts in exchange for foregoing the daily room cleaning was a new experience for us as was the "honesty bar". The staff were fundamental in creating and maintaining the ambience and were super helpful with tips about how to get around and places to visit/eat and we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
