The Grand hotel is a good hotel. We had a spacious room near the front of the hotel. It is not necessarily located in the nicest part of the twin however it is only a 10 minute walk to the city centre. It was very pleasant however quite noisy. If this troubles you request a room at the back. The... More

Paid $383 for one night for the worst room I have ever stayed in! Location was good for tourist! Not close to airport or cruise terminal! Will not return! Staff was nice and friendly! Lobby was pretty! Breakfast was good and free! Ceiling slanted such that my husband hit his head getting out of bed! Bathroom was tiny!

Room and toilet are small. Furniture look worn out. At the price that was paid for, I felt I could find other bargains elsewhere. Very weak wifi, almost non-existing. Will never return and not recommend.

Environment clean and tidy. Staff professional and polite. We were in a small double room, it is very small for a 4 stars hotel. Wifi free. Hotel located near the underground and train station, 10/15 walk to the city centre. Good continental breakfast, the space is quiet small compared to the quantity of rooms. We booked in advance for a... More

At first it looked good. We had a nice room with lots of light. 1 1/2 blocks from the train station. The first night we were awakened at 11, 2, and 3 by drunks on the street. at 4 in the morning they started deliveries and we heard all the trucks. In the morning we went to the desk and... More

The Grand Hotel is quite old and badly needs a renovation to keep up with the times and with the other hotels in the vicinity. Hotel rooms should be equipped with proper air-conditioning instead of providing guests with a dusty toy electric fans for room ventilation. The closets were creaky and old, with many unsightly scratches on the surface. The... More

The room was very spacious with a massive bathroom, a nice full length bath . The bed was extremely comfy and the pillows were different but good different. There was a large step into the room which i'm assuming is because it is an old hotel. The room was well lit. Also very close proximity to Kobenhaven central train station... More

This hotel is located in the heart of Copenhagen, it has a great service and the staff are very helpful. Copenhagen Central Station is a 5 minute walk, the town hall is also nearby and the shopping street is a 10 minute walk from there

Centrally located - with easy walking to all major attractions. Next door to the main train station - We enjoyed our stayed in Copenhagen & could push the down sides aside! We upgraded to a junior suite (AUD$77 taking the rate to AUD$400+ per night still not a 4 star hotel) which was comfortable but by no means modern -... More

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighborhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
