Nice location- walking distance to several restaurants and attractions. Free wifi. Beautiful hotel but tiny rooms. Room cleanliness could be improved, including the corridors in front of the rooms. There was a used tidier in the hallway that I saw as I was checking in and it stayed there for the 3days.

Stayed here while at at conference in Copenhagen. Really enjoyed this cute hotel- although it's probably bigger than it looks. Rooms are decent size- loved the Scandinavian touches (windows open after cleaning). Breakfast was included in my room rate, it was ok- wish there were a bit more choices. Our group also had a meeting there, and the service (tech,... More

We stayed one night before a cruise in a standard room which had no air conditioning on a unseasonably hot day. The room was very small & expensive $400. If you stay here, you must request a room with air conditioning in advance. The bathroom had a tub with a shower, which was extremely tall to set into (over 2... More

In five minutes u arrive to the metro station and Nihanan restaurants street. The hotel is whiteout lift and u have a few steps to be with your luggage in the lobby. Our queen double bed room was very small like a single child bed, we don't have a space to open our luggage. The breakfast restaurant was in the... More

This is my second stay at the hotel. It has a prime location and there is plenty to see and do in the wonderful city of Copenhagen. The hotel itself is a bit dated and certainly the last room I had was VERY small and you had to wait for a good 5 minutes running the shower to get hot... More

It's pretty on the outside but once you got into the rooms it was quite filthy. We had ordered a Cava wich was really nice. The style of the rooms, a bit old-school white with gold details. The bathroom was great and the location was perfect aswell. Really close to both restaurants the esplanade

I prefer older hotels with a character and Pheonix certainly has it: old , but without old smell, with modern ameneties, tiny, but tastefully decorated rooms, hotel common areas are spacious , with wide hall ways. Beds are heavenly - confortable with a luxurious bedding! I'd say dining room could use some updating, as it appeared belnd, cmparing to the... More

Wow, at close to 200 pounds on a week night I ended up with a single room (smallest room I ever stayed in) on the ground floor looking into a disused courtyard. Bath/Shower switch was broken, sink water did not flow out, lights flickered, only ventilation was a wide open window (on a ground floor) the bar was fogeyish and... More

Location is perfect to visit the city. Everything is within walking distance. My room was very comfortable, and the old fashion decoration brings a real atmosphere to the place. The terrace on the second floor is nice to relax. Good breakfast, friendly staff.

Staying in Indre By (Inner City)

Neighborhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
