I found the Copenhagen Wake Up Hotel really cozy, nice and clean, great location if you want to explore Copenhagen City or the waterfront and fair prices. OK cheap ( although not totally cheap) bikerent to make your base even more efficient.

Although this hotel is tidy and clean, I was so unlucky to get a room that faces the nearby railway system from the Copenhagen Central Railway Station. Therefore, I could not sleep from the early morning (about 4 o¨clock) the trains starts to drive. In order to improve the sleeping quality for the guests staying in the rooms facing the nearby railway, the management of the hotel should installed a triple glass in the windows of the rooms facing the nearby railway system.

Arrived early and asked for room. Not done yet, but for DKK100 extra per night another room with "water view" was offered. Accepted. Room was big enough and the bed acceptable. For some reason the bed is pushed totally against the corner with no room on one side. Breakfast a bit poor, but maybe due to the Covid-19 situation. Location is perfect. Copenhagen city centre is "just around the corner" and can be reached within 10 min. walk. TIP: Pay 24 hours parking, DKK195. You can take your car in/out as much as you like without being charged DKK45/hour

Dear Carsten L, Thank you for your review of your stay with us. We are happy to see you liked with the room and the location of our hotel close to the city centre. It is true that the bed is in the corner but it is how the architect decided the design of the rooms should be when the hotel was build 10 years ago. We are sorry to hear if you did not enjoy our breakfast. I can inform you that our breakfast is partly organic, with quality bread from a Danish bakery named Meyers. This is something we have made a priority since we would rather be able to offer quality instead of quantity. We are still a 2 star hotel, why our price for the breakfast needs to follow our other prices at the hotel. This means that we are not able to offer a full buffet for DKK 90. We hope to see you again and wish you a lovely day. Kindly, Cristina Duty Manager

A nice and clean place with a good price, but they provided one pillow with a small blanket for one person, but we were two persons. That was just the negative point of this hotel, otherwise everything was fine!

Response from Receptionen Carsten Niebuhrs Gade, General Manager at Wakeup Copenhagen Carsten Niebuhrs Gade
Responded Aug 4, 2020
Dear sre381 Thank you for taking the time to write your review of us at Wakeup Copenhagen. We are very happy to read that, overall, you enjoyed your stay with us. It is true that the bed is only made up for one person in all of our rooms. The reason for this is that we sell our rooms as both single and double rooms. As we are a budget hotel it is a part of the concept that the design and style is minimalistic. I don’t know if you let us know in reception but we are always happy to hear from our guests in order for us to fix any issue there might be immediately. We are very sorry that you were not informed upon check ind that we have extra pillow, duve and towels in the drawer under the bed. Best regards Madalina Duty Manager
