I have become a frequent guest. The staff is the kind of friendly you only find in the countryside, and the atmosphere is that of an old city hotel. Not a fancy boutique hotel, but the kind I that spells 'family-run' in the best way. The breakfast is full, and there is always free coffee in the lounge, where for...

We were pleasantly surprised by the large and renovated room we got during our stay. Staff is very helpful, the room was big, and breakfast was diverse. Central location for a walk into town. Free parking, so we were able to go off on day trips and come back into central town with out hassle.

We only stayed for one night, but we had a very nice time at Hotel Ansgar. The reception staff was very friendly and serviceminded. The rooms were clean and decent size, but the interior had a few years under it's belt. Alot of places to charge mobilephones, good waterpressure in the shower. Good location in the citycenter. The breakfast was...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as we couldn't get any accommodation at Fano island. The hotel is definitely old, one can easily make out from the decor, but very well maintained. The staff were very kind and good natured. Breakfast was a good one, nothing very lavish. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are...

We stayed for only one night, in hindsight would have stayed for the whole time in Copenhagen. The hotel was very well placed within 5 minute walk of main railway station and 5 minute walk of the meat packer district - which was great for food! The hotel was much better than we expected as we had not hoped for...

This small town hotel is over 100 years old. It is Very charming and located in the heart of town near lots of restaurants and shops. They offer breakfast and free Wi-Fi that works great in your room. The employees are very nice and helpful.

I hate to write anything disparaging but I really was disappointed by my stay here. Sadly I found some of the staff really rather unhelpful, almost rude (but others were helpful) The breakfast food looked very dry and unappetising, especially the fruit. And my room had really rather an unpleasant smell about it. I did ask to be changed, but...

Ideally located in Esbjerg for you to visit Esbjerg on foot. Hotel offers free wifi which at least you can get everywhere in the hotel. Breakfast is continental style and there are plenty of resturants and lubs nearby for food. Back rooms are quite noisey so would advise front room. Comfortable hotel would visit again

The hotel is located in centre of the city what is giving a good opportunity to visit the town. Hotel is in old building with clean rooms. Unfortunately in my opinion the relation between price and quality is not good. Hotel has not own restaurant but if You leave hotel and go to the left side then after 300-400m, on...

I agree with others that this hotel perhaps needs updating, but I did actually like the dated feel of it - especially things like the tiny lift and the old phone box on the stairs. We had a large room on the top floor and perhaps we were lucky. Also, the hotel did not seem full, so was not noisy....
