If you are visiting Legoland you will not find a better location and the theme of Hotel Legoland definitely add to the overall Lego experience for the kids. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is accessible from Legoland and can therefore provide an oasis during a break from Legoland. We lived in the business room. The room was are ok (***)- It was aclean (however, the bedsheets was not changed during our three days), however, a bit worn and still had the ‘90s look . The room had a small television (only danish, Swedish and German channels - they lack the big international news channels). The hotel was able to provide some bigger pillows when asked, as the pillows that were in the room to begin with were very small. The “double bed” was essentially two beds put together, each with their own separate top-mattress - leaving a big gap between the beds. One should think that a hotel that had been made to accommodate families with kids, (that generally generates a lot of noice) had taken into consideration how to best reduce the noice level. This is not the case at Legoland hotel as there is almost no sound isolation between the levels and the big gap under the door to the room allows one to hear everything that is going on in the hallway...... The minibar has been left empty for the guests to use, which is great 😃but also necessary as the prices for room service are offensive (60 DKR + whatever you buy...a burger costs 185,- 😡). They have a great gym that is open 24/7😃 (only open for people over the age of 15) and a sauna (we did not try that out). The gym has too many machines for most modern functional workouts (cross-fit style etc.). It does have enough free weights and floor space for 2-3 people to do a functional work out. The breakfast is served at the hotel restaurant - The Panorama (see my review of the restaurant) - to make it short, Hotel Legoland should be ashamed of themselves 🤬for serving a breakfast this bad and the best advice regarding the restaurant (*) is - do not use it find somewhere else to eat! We had booked (via the Lego homepage) a three days stay plus a two days pass to Legoland, this cost us around 5000 DKR.......I know that Denmark is expensive but, this is way too overpriced for a hotel with rooms and breakfast of this quality. If we return to Billund (which we are very likely to do because of our fantastic experience at LegoHouse) we will definitely find cheaper lodgings with much better food. The location and the Lego theme is simply not enough to justify the current price level.…
Superhelpful staff and good to have such a pleasant stay in times of covid. Well organised park and funpacked experience with still lots to do and see. Would recommend to combine with Legohouse experience.
It’s all kids dream to sleep in a hotel in the amusement park itself. The reason it is 4 stars instead of 5, because there are improvement points 1. The cleanliness in the room for the 2nd and 3rd day was not even touching the normal standard e.g. the corner of the room still has some dust piled up, even under the fridge there was still a paracetamol pill can be found. 2. The breakfast was not even close to be call a proper one, table was always not ready as agreed, the sunny side up egg was blue, caused by too long reheated.. I believe with their slogan “Only perfect is good enough”,the Hotel Lego Team will take this constructive feedback in the pipeline for their near future improvement. It was a fantastic experience we had there! Cheers!
Overall the combination of legoland + hotel in legoland was a great experience, although there is no aircon... especially when the temperatures outside were around 30 degrees. For the genuine Lego fans it wouldn’t be a negative, though :)
+ Location Direct access to Legoland Room size Decoration of hotel - No aircon, cooling system leading to sleepless nights Run down carpets in the room Terrible smell from the restaurant No locks on windows/option to halfway open it Overprized
