This was a great choice for a five-day visit. Loved the minimalist, chic decor. Great location. Helpful desk staff. Eco/organic orientation. And one of the very best hotel breakfasts ever. Small, but very interesting dinner menu. Lots of seating, inside and outside, near bar for relaxation. Loved it.

I am surprised to find myself writing one of the rare negative reviews, particularly for a place in Denmark, where what I have experienced in two trips two decades apart is mostly friendly efficiency. On this recent trip, two of us booked a corner room for four nights in early June. We arrived in the afternoon, and had to wait for a long while to check in, with two to three parties ahead of us. There were clearly staff in the backroom, but they didn't bother to come up front to serve. When it was our turn, we were given our room keycards summarily and no other info about the area nor a map. Well, we thought the staff were too busy to ask what we might need or offer info. But lo and behold - on our checkout after four nights of stay, there was only one party ahead of us and they were checking in. We had to wait a long while as the receptionist was too busy chatting with them, telling them where to eat, and where to go. That would have been okay, had the receptionist even bothered to acknowledge that we were waiting to check out. But no, that didn't happen. We were ignored altogether. It would be too easy for me to simply say that we were two Asians overlooked in a sea of Caucasian clientele. But that would be too low for me to stoop as elsewhere in Denmark on our two-week trip, we were treated with anything but friendliness cheer. The room itself was adequate, and I might even have rated it a good stay, had the two encounters with the reception staff been better.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking you time to give us feedback from your stay at Comwell Aarhus. I am truly sorry that you did not receive the service you expected and needed during check in and check out. To give every guest a personal service with different recommendations is one of our main priorities. I apologize if the amount of guests in the lobby area had a negative effect on your experience. This is definitely not our standard and something we will take into consideration. We have been happy to accommodate you and hope to have the opportunity to give you the service you deserve at your next visit. Best regards Nicoline Håkansson Front Office Supervisor Comwell Aarhus

Modern, recent construction, but the Single room in this unit is incredible small! Doesn’t have enough space or place to open a suitcase inside the room!!!! Walking from and to the bed is an impossible mission! ZERO CONFORT! Don’t recommend the stay here!

Dear Sonia, I am sorry to hear that you did not find your room spacious enough during your stay with us. I understand that you were in contact with our reception regarding buying an upgrade to a double room, which you were not interested in. When booking rooms for your next stay I would kindly recommend you to get your agent to book a double room in advance, if this is what you are expecting when staying with us. We appreciate your stay and look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Best regards Nicoline Håkansson Front Office Supervisor

Comwell is a good choice in Aarhus ! The service is excellent. At the front desk and throughout the hotel, the staff are consistently friendly, hospitable, and helpful. Breakfast is exceptional in the fresh, high-quality food, including options cooked to order (eggs, omelets, porridge, and more). The restaurant is excellent for dinner as well. Plus coffee and tea are available at any time in a machine located on one of the floors. Rooms are bit small - and bathrooms lack shelves/space for storage of toiletries. But this is compensated by the overall atmosphere and service of the hotel.

A really nice hotel, very confortable and close to city center. Quite good breakfast, more fruit variety will make it perfect. My room was full of light which I love it. People at the reception really helpful and nice. The fitness center is very small.
