We were two couples spending a few days in Aalborg for a conference. We did so much enjoy the friendly and relaxed atmosphere created by our charming hosts. Wonderfully restored old villa and such a nice garden in which a model steam engine railway was arranged, now under reconstruction. The hotel is located in a tranquil living area with 20...

very nice location in tranquil villa neigbourhood, yet in walking distance of center Aalborg. Authenic historical house. Pleasant garden which is available to hotel guests: ideal to read a book or sit outside on a summer evening. Nice breakfast. The host makes you feel most welcome!

I stayed with my Wife and son for a longer period, using the hotel as a base for family holiday in Denmark. The location is great for visits around the country, and the hotel was a beautiful peaceful location to return to in between visits to "recharge the batteries". The genuine charm of this period building combined with a large...

I have stayed many times at this hotel while travelling regularly through Denmark, and can heartily recommend it. Situated in a quiet, prosperous residential neighbourhood, and with its own parking, it is only a short easy walk to the city centre. The house itself is charming and the owners always friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and light with...

We spent 2 nights at hotel Krogen. It is an old mansion with a lot of authentic charm located in Aalborg's well offs quarter. Rooms are large and cosy. The breakfast is good. And the garden is wonderful - it even includes a large trampoline that kept our children busy and happy. Finally, David our host was friendly, helpful and...

This was our base for four nights in Aalborg. The slightly out of centre location was particularly welcome as the city was in the throes of student graduation celebrations. Easy walk to town and 5 mins from useful if not terribly frequent buses. Only shared bath/toilet rooms left by the time we booked but our room itself was absolutely fine...

Here traditional Danish breakfast served at your convenience on pretty, traditional Danish Tableware (muselmalet) and your pour your coffea from a silverpot. Staff is extremely helpfull and will...

We overnighted at Hotel Krogen in conjuction with a party we were attending. The hotel is situated on a lovely and very quiet tree lined street in suburban Aalborg. Our room was very spacious, with an extremely comfortable bed that we didn't want to get out of. The breakfast was a traditional Danish one consisting of bread, meats and cheeses,...

One of the most cozy and charming hotels I have been visiting. The room and the bathroom was excellent and well-thought-out and well planned. The staff is very kindly and professional. Nice floor, good heating, bathroom was clean and proper. Wall and interior of the room was much nicer than you typically find in hotels. Entrance to hotel is somewhat...
