Old, overrated en overpriced hotel. Room (213) very small, no closet to put some clothes in, hardly room to store your suitcase, bed very soft with jumping bed springs, windows cannot be opened because the mechanisms are broken. Bathroom: even the showercurtain is too short. Breakfast: mostly factory food. Another issue: no parking space. In short: demolish the place and build a new one.
Overall, very pleased with stay at the hotel. All staff most welcoming and helpful. Bedroom: Good size, comfortable and clean..... overlooking the road at the front. Just one area to develop and that would be providing safe deposit boxes in hotel bedrooms. No tea/ coffee facilities in rooms, however free 24 hour vending service for guests in restaurant. Light refreshments served to all guests, each day, between 3pm to 5pm. Breakfast provided was of a good range and and most acceptable. The hotel is centrally located and ideal for tourists. I would recommend the Milling Windsor.
After an exhausting few days in Copenhagen and Malmo a couple of days in Odense was much needed. Found Hotel WIndsor on booking. com and since it was near the train station my friend and I decided to give it a try. The front desk staff was excellent. They were always so helpful and polite. I appreciated the classic traditional quaint atmosphere. It was lovely to sit in the library and the dining area was spacious. There's a self serve coffee machine which produces very good cappucino and hot cocoa as well as other hot drinks. The authentic Danish breakfast buffet is bountiful and very good. In the evening there's some snacks available for guests which I especially appreciated shortly after check in on a Saturday evening. The location is excellent; close to attractions, museums, restaurants, shops and even the Odense Zoo is only a half hour walk. Odense is Hans Christian Andersen's childhood home so the town pays much tribute to this oustanding writer. Prices could be a bit lower for off season but the comforts were so much appreciated. Hotel Windsor felt like a home away from home. TAK!…
I stayed here for 4 nights for a conference in May. My room was at the back of the hotel - quite and comfortable however a bit dated and in need of some paint and new carpets. No tea and coffee in the room (you have to go downstairs for this but the complementary cakes are excellent). The staff were always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the usual continental style buffet with fresh bread every morning. Would definitely stay again.
This hotel was one of the cheapest hotels we stayed in, but also was one of the best. It is located a bit outside of the center of town, but you can easily walk to get to the action in the downtown. The breakfast is excellent, and the service is very good and friendly. I would stay here again without a second thought.
