Setting is great, close to the water. Food in the restaurant is good quality and the staff is excellent. We hosted our wedding here and had approx 50 people stay over. Would definitely recommend. We were definitely delighted

Small, quite modern hotel excellently located with views to sea and woods around Middelfart. Got a room facing the parking, small but comfortable and quite functional. Very small bathroom without much storage space. Disturbing noise from delivery traffic. Quite good, ecological breakfast served in the basement restaurant with sea views and outdoor terrace. No fruit, only carrots and peas, allegedly because only local products were used (in order to minimize transport and CO2 emission). A sympathetic idea but seems a little misplaced in this case. Also the sustainability concept is not consequently implemented: For example the bathroom light is sensor activated and turns on when the door is opened, no matter time of the day. Nevertheless, very friendly staff all over and relaxed atmosphere.

An elegant small hotel where extra touches are important. A very nice view from the common areas and some rooms. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Good tables and chairs and a roomy bathroom (for Europe). The only hotel in our tour with a bath mat which we appreciate when getting out of the shower and not slipping. Breakfast focussed on quality and elegance over quantity. A little sachet of muesli on top of a glass container of yoghurt. Fewer cheeses, meats and cereals than other places we stayed. Good breads and a carrot juicer to make your own juice to start the day in a healthy way. Close to the hotel is a park with deer preserve (or hunting ground) and the palace hotel. A very nice walking area and set of trails around the tip of the island. A nice location in the country.

It was a last minute reservation that brought me here. It was either spending the night in a hotel or another long car ride. I chose the hotel. It turned out to be a much better choice than I had expected. First of all: The location of this hotel is absolutely unique and I am not exaggerating. I can think a few other hotels with such beautiful surroundings - in front of it open water, next to it the yacht club, behind it a large park with rare old trees. And the hotel building itself, big, white, romantic, could well do as a multi-millionaire`s residence in an American movie. Inside it is thoroughly modernized. The rooms are in the typical no-nonsense Scandinavian style that some find too cool, but which everybody acknowledges is functional. The beds are good and the adjacent bathroom has what you need. The rooms are quiet. My room did not have air-conditioning so I tend to believe that the other rooms do not have it either. Windows can be opened. All in all, everything a bit more than OK without being memorable. It is the building and its location that makes the place memorable. Breakfast is included in the price for the room. Do not leave without it ! This hotel is very conscious of ecology so practically everything on the breakfast table seems to be home-made and it all is very good. On the night of my arrival I did also have dinner here which turned to be a grill buffet. There is a large terrace in front of the hotel and an over-sized grill was sitting in one corner. Since they cannot possible grill outside year round, I will not go into any detail here but just state the obvious: The hotel has a restaurant. What needs special mention is the service. The staff is exceedingly friendly and clearly determined to do all in their power to make their guests feel welcome. One therefore leaves the hotel pondering if one should not come back.
