We were in a studio. It was very spacious, having a large balcony with a fabulous view to the beach and was very clean. It was the cleanest accommodation that I had ever been. The location is very nice. It is a small, very quiet and calm bay, may be the calmest at the whole island. The studio had all necessary amenities and more. Еverything is thought out. Lena (the owner) is very kind, responsible and friendly person. She baked for us for breakfast a wonderful cake few times during our stay. She took care for us all the time and made us feel special all the time and even helped when we had issues with our ferry return trip. Hospitality here is at the highest level that I've ever seen.

We stayed in this perfect place this august and were truly amazed. It was so what we have been expected and that much more. We were welcomed with homemade cake and jam, and were sure that we have everything needed for the first day: 3 bottles of cold water, coffee-Greek and for filter coffee maker, bread, honey, butter and milk for the coffee...Eleni made us famous Skopelos cheese pie that my two boys eat so sweat. Also Greek milk cake, that my husband and I barely make ourselves to keep one piece for the kids . In the end, Lena, the nicest person ever, gave us a bottle of home-made olive oil and olives for present. This was the best ever vacation. Everything vacation should be and we could imagine. Accommodation was perfect (nothing will ever top this), studios are spacious, modern, impeccably clean (everyday cleaned, also dishes were washed for us), well-equipped (almost as I was at home), clean towels every 2nd day and linens every 3rd day. Each room having a large terrace with a perfect view of the little Agnondas bay, and to the sides, the lush, green hills. The beach is just in front about a minute walk away.
We are definitely going next year, because going just one time is just not enough. We have two boys that were just enjoying and were really happy and already asking when are we going again.

If you are in need for perfect, quiet, stress free vacation...this is the place for you. Perfect little beach, with the most beautiful water i ever experienced...heaven in a word.

My partner and I (both in our 30s) have just got back from a glorious week at Althea Skopelos. We can't recommend it more highly and hope to be back soon.

Set in the beautiful little bay of Agnontas, Althea is quiet, very clean and perfectly appointed. Our studio had everything we could ask for, including cooking apparatus and a spacious balcony with a table, chairs and umbrella and a pretty rose garden, which made it possible to cook indoors and eat outside comfortably, enjoying a lovely view of the bay. The building and furnishings are simple and of high quality. We don't have children but Althea seems family friendly and we would definitely be happy to bring children here. Kyria Eleni, the proprietor, was very receptive and helpful, greeting us with homemade cake and jam and bringing a traditional cheese pie for breakfast on Sunday. More importantly, she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Booking was also very straightforward via paypal.

We came to Skopelos to rest and Althea exceeded expectations: though it was possible to hear the young families staying nearby everyone was quiet and respectful. Expect to hear the sound of crickets in the evenings rather than partying!

Agnontas itself has a small, shallow and calm pebble beach which is perfect for children, a small but well stocked shop and three tavernas. Korali was our favourite, serving fresh fish by the water's edge with Rembetika music in the background. The beach at Limnonari (20mins on foot) is also excellent, especially early in the day when it's quiet.

Skopelos tips: Bring jelly shoes to protect against urchins and goggles for fish-spotting. All the beaches charge for beds and umbrellas (including Agnontas beach now) so if you need shade but prefer not to pay for it, bring your own umbrella!

Althea offers perhaps the most characteristic Greek hospitality in an excellent holiday environment. The studios and apartments dominate over the bay of Agnontas, but the picturesque beach is only two minutes walk.

The very comfortable and extremely clean rooms, makes you feel like being at home. Ask the owner (Mrs Eleni) for traditional Greek recipes and she will offer you eggplants and zucchinis from her garden and olive oil.

I am sure you will love it

Althea studio apartments are spacious and very clean, equipped with everything you need (air condition, satellite TV, safe box, coffee machine, toaster, large refrigerator, even an iron and iron board, etc.), with a large veranda with a wonderful sea view. The owners are so welcoming, kind and hospitable. At the arrival you will get the welcome homemade cake and lot of other things. We don’t have a single remark for the accommodation, the owner Lena Chrisanti is doing a great job.
Agnodas village is pretty charming, with a nice small beach and one of the best taverns on the island – Pavlos tavern with an excellent fresh sea food and traditional Greek food. Skopelos town is only 8 km away. A lot of great beaches are not far away (from 2 to 15 km).
The whole Skopelos island is very green, covered with pine forest, with beautiful mostly pebble beaches and wonderful blue-green sea.

We enjoyed our stay in the maisonette on the top floor very much. The apartment is of excellent quality (with mosquito nets on all windows and terrace doors), spacious and spotlessly clean and the owner is very nice. She pampered us throughout our stay. We were welcomed by lemon cake, home-made jam and honey. Later in the week we received a home-made cheese pie. Agnondas is a nice little village with good restaurants and it is also an excellent location for visiting nearby beaches and places of interest. If you want to experience true Greek hospitality choose Althea.

Lena is the hospitality itself, always having a good word and a smile on her self. Her home made delicious cooks are a plus.

We had a maisonette. It has a living + kitchen + terrace + bathroom on the first level and then two double bedrooms and another bathroom upstairs. It was spotless. Maid service every day, towels and bed linen changed every two/three days. Terrace is pretty large, with sea view. It was our sea view breakfast place. All the amenities are new and good quality.

The only concern: the maisonettes are on top of the building, beware if you have mobility problems. We had no issue but some might have.

The location is excellent, in the quiet and beautiful Agnondas bay.

Althea has very cozy, beautiful apartments near the beach, with a spectacular view. Lena, the lady who runs the apartments is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Lovely beach of Agnodas has a big three that gives natural shade - one of my top priorities on a vacation. And the water is crystal clear. Peaceful place, ideal for family vacation.

"There are only six rooms available, with room No. 5 and 6 being larger for larger families. All over rooms are "studio" style with a kitchenette, a double bed and two singles. They all have a sea-view balcony with seating for four. There are steps up to the rooms so the higher the numbers to the more the steps you climb."
