Thimaras is a tough hotel to rate. Anywhere but Spetses and I would say the hotel would be too simple - but on this laid back Greek island it all just seems to work. The rooms are basic but super clean. The staff are incredibly friendly as are most people on the island, and the atmosphere between the locals working... More

We had a lovely stay at Thimaras, offering a pretty and quiet retreat away from the huddle and bustle of Spetses port. It was a 10 minute walk from the port, a good march to burn off yummy greek platters and carafes of wine! There was a very pretty and secluded poolside area where you could get a proper espresso... As long as you know what to expect, this is a fantastic little hotel. Beautiful surroundings, pool, furnishings. We had one of the smallest rooms on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the pool. Very cute and clean. It is very far from the port however and unless you REALLY love to walk you will need to rent a... More

I booked this hotel based on the reviews I read on this site, however I was not particularly pleased with the choice. The pool area is lovely, but the bar never seemed to be open and it would have been nice to have an early evening drink there before dinner, for example. I didn't find the room particularly clean either.... More

My son and I travelled alone to this lovely hotel. The swimming pool and outside space was beautiful and the gardens perfectly maintained. We will definitely return there as soon as we can!. The photos on their website are accurate, it really is that lovely!! The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was large and basic but perfect for... More

Anargitos, one of four brothers who run the place, picked us up at the port and brought us to the hotel. There were four of us in two rooms. Ours was a little apartment with a kitchenette, a double bed in a loft and another in a separate room. The place was spotless and they cleaned it daily. The other... More

Ms Despina from Kivotos of Aegean suggested Spetses to be the last leg of our Greek vacation. She arranged for us to stay in Thimaras. It was a very wonderful, relaxing wrapped up of a culturally rich and pleasurable 16 days. The room was clean and elegant and the family who owns and manages the hotel were wonderful. We feel... We just got back from our weekend in Spetses. A truly amazing, short trip! We spent two nights in Thimaras Hotel, and in a nutshell, I was very pleasantly impressed! We arrived in Spetses, late on Friday evening and the hotel manager was happy to arrange for us to get picked-up from the port. The hotel is located at a... More

We just got back from beautiful spetses and our stay at thimaras made the weekend so special! The distance from the port is very short with a scooter or a horse carriage! We were picked up at the port despite the fact that we arrived late and 10 minutes before the greek football game :) The ideal thing is that... More

Thimaras is a lovely place to reatreat and relax. Its distance from the busy main port, and residential location make this a great place to enjoy some peace and quiet. Though, during my stay it seemed that there would be a small crowd of locals sitting by the pool each evening, which I embraced as part of the Greek experience,... More
