There is nothing to fault at this boutique hotel. It is maintained immaculately, everything is very clean in the rooms and around the grounds. The staff are super helpful and friendly and speak very good English. Set back from the fairly noisy seafront port area it offers an oasis of calm. Our room with a sea view was great. It offers a good selection of food for breakfast. Spetses can be easily reached by ferry from Piraeus in about 2.5 hours, or by helicopter to your super yacht in a little less time!!!

They had a Friendly staff which gave us different recommendations on where to eat and what to do in spetses. The breakfast was good which included many different choices on what to eat. They took many precautions due to covid which made us feel safer as guests.

This little boutique hotel is a treasure. From each communication I had before our arrival to the wonderful welcome we received to all that followed was everything you could hope for in a hotel experience and more, The Armata is family owned and operated. The pride they feel and the extra special way we were treated makes it seem like you are the only ones there. And, yet, the place was to capacity. We were there for a week. George, the owner is out there morning til night , involved in every detail of the operation. I would go out on our balcony and see him scurrying around early and see him during the day and then again in the evening, overseeing and personally taking care of everything. H recommended a restaurant to us - The Olive Press at The Old Harbor. We went there twice. I was exceptional. The owner knew George and we got a special, amazing table both times we went there. We were greeted by Mary at the front desk. She is the quintessential perfect receptionist/hostess. She knew our names immediately and the answer to all questions was “yes” or “let me find out”, Dora was equally as responsive and kind. The breakfast staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast itself was superb. We had just spent a week in a different city. It was a great hotel and the breakfast was good, but they had the same food every day. When you’re there for a week, this can get tiresome. At the Armata, there are several items that are changed daily. Everything was delicious and fresh and most items are housemade. There are several areas in which to sit, all lovely. The place is immaculate. Someone is always cleaning every inch of the place. Yes, the rooms are small and when you are there for a week, this could be an issue, but it wasn’t. We had four suitcases and two backpacks and were able to store everything. The bed was very comfortable and the linens so fresh. The bathroom towels are huge and fluffy - to me, one of the signs of an upscale hotel. It was quite hot most of the time we were there. The air conditioning worked great and was not loud. Additionally, there was a fan over the bed. It was a perfect combination, Sometimes we used one or the other and sometimes both. The grounds are so beautiful and well kept, The swimming pool area is wonderful, We spent several afternoons there because of the heat. There was always shade somewhere if you want shade like I do. There aren’t a lot of lounge chairs and that was somewhat of a problem, but there are other places to sit if necessary because the bar area is close to the swimming pool with lots of seating, We had an exceptional stay at the Armata with so many great memories, especially of the staff. They became our new Greek friends. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to come back to Spetses. It’s a long way for us, but if I do, I will certainly stay at the Armata.

A few minutters walk from the busy streets, bikes, and Waterfront you’ ll find this amazingly well kept small hotel. Great service and facilities: fab breakfast, big pool, balcony for all rooms, deposit boxes, very very clean and COVID-19 safe. We’ll be back. :-)
