Detailed Reviews
We have just returned from staying in Poros Town at the Sto Roloi houses, and we stayed in the garden apartment, which is very comfortable and tastefully decorated.
It has a shared garden, which has a lovely view and a segregated space for you, but my only issue is that it needs a little more privacy from each other. Maybe some planting would be better than the current wooden structure.
Florian is a great host and every need is catered for, including retrieving our IPad quickly, which we had left in Athens! He also meets you at the boat and carries your bags up the steepish steps to the house, and takes them down again when you leave, which is amazing. This is a very friendly place to stay, above the hassle and bustle of the port. If you want a better sea view I would recommend booking the Terrace apartment which was above us and had an amazing balcony. I would definitely stay here again.
Nice places to visit whilst there:-
Restaurants - Arpegio, Gia Mas, Sailor Cafe for breakfast. The White Cat out of town, but worth the short taxi ride.
Anasa Beach bar - 13 Euros in a taxi for round trip. Sunbeds 10 euros for 2 beds. Amazing service and great little beach. Went there every day.

We Loved Sto Roloi! We rented the apartment with sea view. It was amazing in every way . We could have stayed forever! The view was spectacular. We had a lovely balcony and two really comfortable bedrooms with great A/C and a kitchen. The price was so reasonable. In addition, Florian did such an excellent job taking care of everything. I left my purse on a bench when we boarded the ferry to go back to Athens. When I realized it, the ferry had left the port. I called Florian and he went right down to the bench and found it for me, packaged it up and put it on the next ferry for me. I am so grateful for his kindness. Great people and a great place. You won’t be disappointed!!!

As a couple we always try and book accomodation that has traditional character and you can consider a home away from home. The best criteria when you review holiday accomodation is asking yourself the following question - 'Would I like to own the place as a vacation house?'. In that respect, Sto Roloi gets a full five stars! We stayed both in the Garden Appartment and Terrace Apartment. Both are exceptional, with the Terrace one click better than the Garden. If I were to buy and renovate an appartment on an island like Poros, ideally, I would like it to match the Terrace. Great decor, cosy feeling, which really allows you to relax. Similar accomodation on other islands costs 2 times more, thus you get more value for pocket.

We stayed three nights at Sto Roloi this year. The apartment was nicely located byt the port. It was nicely decorated and furnished but the air conditioning was only in the bedrooms not in the main living room and kitchen. The master bedroom was lovely but the other one was quite mediocre. Balcony had a beautiful view but was very small. This apartment was definitely overpriced.

Studio Limeri is gorgeous. One of the few places I’ve been that matches its website photos. The studio itself is well-equipped and beautifully clean, and most importantly has outstanding views across the harbour – from two terraces, and indeed from in the small pool. You will need a little energy to climb the 191 steps from the main street up, but it is absolutely worth it. The pool is shared with Residence Limeri, but we quietly and easily worked out a pattern with our neighbours and as there are two terraces, there is no shortage of private outdoor space. 191 steps take you to a host of tavernas and bars, and a few hundred more metres take you to the boats to other islands and Piraeus harbour.
Marie Luise and her team are outstanding hosts – anything can be organised, quickly and quietly – from meeting at the airport to catamaran tickets from Piraeus, to food supplies, to a tour of Athens before departure.
I would write more about Poros itself but we were too happy in the Studio to venture very far.
Highly recommended.

Poros is a lovely island for a few days ( even more) , an easy getaway for Athenians but also a great way to combine Athens ( which means the Acropolis) with the charm of an island for all visitors to Greece. Sto Roloi offers different types of accommodation in different parts of the city , we stayed at the Limeri studio ( suitable for a couple) which has an amazing view over the port.
What I really liked about it is the feel of home away from home . Equipped with everything you would wish , sound system, WiFi , some books, little lanterns. The terrace is among wild vegetation and there is even a small swimming pool! Everything is peaceful and quiet up there- and I say up there because you have to climb a considerable amount of stairs to arrive , but it's totally worth it.

I appear to be the first to comment on the Little Tower, the cozy two-story accommodations in the Anemone compound. Though our first choice, the Limeri studio, was already booked, we have much to recommend about the property where we ended up, and we felt we received quality quarters for a relatively modest price.
The layout is funky: kitchen, dining area and queen-size bed (good quality) on the top floor, which is street level, and living area (futon sofa and TV), bathroom, and storage units on the ground floor with a small spiral staircase connecting the two. Our common sense would suggest the bed should be close to the bathroom, but the views and the breeze on the top floor are exquisite, and we wouldn't have traded them for any amount of our common sense. We ended up lounging upstairs most of the time we were in our quarters. The downstairs became more of a dressing area for us -- a good use that meant we weren't tripping over luggage and dirty clothes in our main living space.
The balcony is perfect for watching sunsets; a nice patio with lounge chairs is on ground level. (By the way, despite the fact the compound includes a swimming pool, it is off limits to Little Tower renters. We didn't miss it.) The top floor has a vaulted ceiling that makes it seem bigger, and the walls are painted a wonderfully calming aquamarine -- a perfect color for relaxing.
The kitchen is meagerly appointed, but that's the kind of situation that I take as a culinary challenge, and I was able to put together a couple simple suppers during our visit. Of course the No. 1 reason we enjoy a kitchen is for morning coffee and breakfast in pajamas -- and this one fits the bill for that. A housekeeper discreetly stopped by each day to tidy up, make the bed, and leave fresh towels. Lovely terrycloth bathrobes and a hairdryer also are provided.
It's a hike to get up and down to the residence, so anyone with ambulatory issues: beware. The town of Poros also is a veritable maze (we were there a week and still got almost hopelessly lost the last night we were there), but what saved us was a church just below the property, which is a landmark that somewhat stands out from a distance. We knew if we found that, we just had to keep going up to find the place -- yet another fun challenge!
We spent an idyllic week on the island, and the Little Tower was definitely part of our joy.

We stayed in Anemone House and Little Tower in early July. Arrangements before the holiday and on arrival were excellent. The house is beautiful, with wonderful views from the balcony and terrace across the harbour and towards the mainland. The pool was perfect for cooling off and big enough that a few people could be in at one time.
Restaurants and bar are all a short walk away. Because we were outside of August the water taxis to the beaches were not operating, but we hired bikes which were very cheap and cycled to the beaches on the larger island of Poros. Not related to the house, but for info: We did need insect repellent early evening. All the team at Sto Roloi were lovely and the house was cleaned every day. Florian was excellent and transported luggage to and from the house despite our party arriving on three separate boats and days. Will definitely return.

Poros, what an amazing surprise! An hour from Piraeus by fast ferry and you step into such a picturesque little island perfect for a short getaway. Bathe in the Love Bay, eat at Poseidon Taverna, rent a scooter and enjoy the sunset over the sea..it's breathtaking. Step up to the Clock Tower (this is what Sto Roloi actually means) and you will have a glimpse of all the island.
As for the Sto Roloi Houses, we stayed in the Roloi Studio, which proved to be quite disappointing..The garden is very pretty but the studio itself is too small to feel comfortable. Everything in the room is crowded. The bed is pushed on one side on the wall, creating a more claustrophobic sensation that you already have because of the low ceiling and the lack of luminosity in the room. And maybe I would have overlooked all these if the bed itself hadn't been the worst I slept in! None of us (my husband also) could get a decent sleep, as the mattress is so soft that gives your spine no support. The shower place in the bathroom is again so narrow that if you are not slim you will have a problem. Honestly, the photos on the site are misleading. It's a room for teenagers.

We just returned from a truly lovely 4 night stay in Poros... I would say that staying at the Sto Roloi made the stay especially lovely. The first two nights, we stayed at the Limeri Studio and after that moved to the Little Tower. Before describing the apartments themselves, I have to mention how kind and helpful Marie Luise and her colleague Florian were. Florian was there to help in any way needed, gave great recommendations and had a constant warm smile on his face.
We loved the Limeri studio!!! Only slightly more than the Little Tower, yet each had its own advantages. Limeri is private, serene and offers a perfect small outdoor area for lounging, taking a dip in the pool or watching the stars at night. As other reviewers mentioned, there are quite some steps to reach the house but for us it was no issue at all and definitely worth the hike. We could keep the doors open while we were in there and still felt it was super private. The apartment is cozily lit, very functional and clean. The same goes for the Little Tower, where the green walls fit the intimate island vacation mood perfectly. The view from the upper level of the little tower was just amazing! Opening the windows to the view of the harbor in the morning was priceless and at sunset it felt like the entire horizon is just there outside your window. The little balcony upstairs was perfect for lighting a candle and having a glass of wine before going out. We even managed to prepare a small homemade breakfast one of the days given how well equipped the kitchenette was. Both apartments were cleaned during our stay and the towels were always fresh. The walk up to the little tower was also with quite some steps but we had a quad and could easily drive up and park it close to the house. However, we still did enjoy smelling the different types of flowers and seeing the different houses when we choice to walk up and down the stairs to the harbors. The interior of Little Tower was as pretty and Limeri studio and Marie Luise's attention to detail is admirable. It was less private as the houses are quite close to eachother and the apartment door is right on the road.
If you're looking for more privacy during your stay and more outdoor lounging space, then Limeri studio would be a better option, otherwise both are really lovely and the view from little tower is worth it.
I would highly recommend visiting Poros and staying at one of the Sto Roloi Houses!
