We chose the Orloff because of its understated and elegant style. Its perfect location and unique homely atmosphere of one of Hydras most exlcusive old mansions. Their website also gave us the exact representation of what we hoped for and expected.

We recently booked into this wonderful little hotel for 3 nights. Alexandra on reception was so welcoming and very informative. The rooms are delightful and on our first morning we were served a lovely breakfast by a wonderful smiley lady. She couldn’t have done enough for us. Angela the manager makes her daily greeting of the guests at breakfast to check we are all ok and what we’ve been up to. She was on hand for any questions and good tips on how to make our visit to Hydra more memorable that it was already turning out to be. We decided to stay another 4 nights! I must mention the lovely housekeeper who always had a smile a wave for us every morning even when we bumped into her early one morning on the way to the monastery. We will return time and time again. Thank you everyone at the Orloff. Jacqui & Tom

Location of the hotel was fantastic, very close to the port but away from the busy part. The rooms are nicely finished and the property is really beautiful. However, the best thing about Orloff is that feeling that you are at home. The owners and front desk are available most of the day, extremely helpful, and really make you feel at home.

Our room (4) was spacious, well equipped and clean, so don't understand small and dirty comments. Yes it's a pension country hotel not a big city hotel but here lies the charm. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the manager we mostly avoided. Location central so you could smell the donkeys if wind was wrong or jasmine when right. 3 mins walk from the port was a doodle. Will reccomend if cosy simplicity is sought.
