This is the hotel to visit on Hydra. We have been fortunate enough to stay at the Mistral for the past 12 years visiting several times each year. We have invited friends and family all of whom have shared our enjoyment of the hotel. In brief it is spotlessly clean, the rooms are welcoming and comfortable, the staff are attentive, the breakfasts...

Just spent a week at the lovely Mistral Hotel and couldn't have asked for more. The location is perfect and the room was spotless and comfortable. Best of all was the amazing breakfast served in the beautiful courtyard. Truly the finest food served on the island is right here! You will not need to eat again until evening after enjoying...

My 4th trip to the enchanting isle of Hydra. A travel agent friend put us in touch with Jenny and Theo at the Mistral. What a beautiful place! Close to town but tucked into a quiet corner. Very charming, old world architecture with eclectic appointments. The host and hostess are warm and welcoming. Theo's gourmet breakfast (included in our price)...

Location - excellent, 10 min stroll from harbour, quiet area Facilities - poor, we had standard room (room 16), it had twin beds pushed together which were extremely hard, in fact it was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. Bed linen was a sheet plus a scratchy blanket, its the first hotel I've ever been to that didn't...

I struggle a bit with rating this hotel and writing this review, since I don't know whether I should be be comparing with the alternatives on Hydra (which of course I haven't stayed at) or on a more objective basis against hotels in Greece in general, or even against my expectations. In giving an "average" rating, I'm focussing more on...

We stayed for 3 weeks with our 11 year old daughter in August and I could not fault the wonderful service, friendliness and assistance of all the staff, especially Jenny and Theo (the owners). Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable with air conditioning for the hot nights. Breakfasts are a gastronomic feast and we often did not need...

We spent the last two weeks of August in Mistral and we had the time of our lives. The hotel is just three minutes walking from the port, it's elegant and relaxing, rooms are spacy and confortable and the owners... They're just the perfect guests! They can make your day right! Thank you for all Jenny and Theo. Guido, Silvia...

I almost don't know where to begin! This hotel was just fabulous. We stayed in the studio on the top floor. It was nice and spacious and allowed all of us to stretch out. The island is pretty small, and the hotel itself is perfectly located- close to lots of restaurants and shopping. It's an easy walk to the port...

We confess: we are in love with Hydra and Mistral hotel! Every year it gets better and better and the idea of passing a year without even stopping for a short holiday to this magnificent island and staying at our dearest hosts seems impossible. So, at the beginning of August, we returned to Mistral, the best place to celebrate 10...

Hotel Mistral is a great hideaway with great service and the best breakfast we've ever had in Greece! Traveling with teenagers these days is quite easy - just make sure that the hotel has good Wifi. Also on this front the Hotel Mistral is great! Hydra is a fantastic island where no motorized transportation is allowed - also no bikes....
