The Arty Grand Hotel is located on top of a hill overlooking Olympia. We fortunately stayed here on 2/26/2020 before Covid-19 virus contagion exploded worldwide and tourism got shut down. Our room was comfortably furnished and has a step down sitting area. There was a flat-screen TV, desk, mini-refrig and free Wi-Fi. Taking a shower was extremely difficult as there was no place to mount the shower head high. Also there was no shower curtain. The floor got really wet. We ate breakfast buffet and dinner at the hotel. We did not use any of the amentities. We experienced wonderful service throughout. A jewelry gift shop was located in the lobby. You can use Arty Grand Hotel as staging area to explore the nearby Olympia archaeological ruins.
WOW. Could this really be the best four star hotel I’ve stayed in? I think it’s definitely up there. Even though the lobby is not very impressive, the two pools are great, beds are super comfortable, rooms spacious, the whole hotel is nice and clean, air conditioning is better than others and the staff are so helpful. HOWEVER, the breakfast was not so GRAND as I would have expected it to be, hence not getting five stars. But, when you need a place to stay, this hotel should be at the top of your list. Thank you for the great stay!
If you need relaxation and easiness, polite and smiling staff, simple and clean rooms with the appropriate luxury in the bathroom, a space 7 minutes walk of the Ancient Stadium of Olympia- where the Olympic Games were taking place- and a cosy atmospheric surrounding, do not hesitate a moment! People there are ready to fulfill all your requirements- even food orders they do not exist on the menu- and get relactant to show you the way to trips around the picturesque villages and the Alfeios River. Mountain excursions and bike ridings available downtown. Coffee shops, tavernas and restaurants with honest cheap food will surprise you!
This is a good 4* hotel but it is nowhere close to 5*. Breakfast was decent, staff friendly, we ordered room service desert of the day and they brought us 4 little pieces of desert camouflaged with sauce, to look like one full piece, that were obviously taken from the buffet.
We stayed here for one night on our 4 Day Classical Greece & Meteora - first class tour. We enoyed a delicious evening meal in the dining room before heading to bed and in the morning we enjoyed a filling breakfast in the breakfast room before heading off on day two. The Arty Grand is a lovely hotel with a seperate pool and a garden area in the rear of the hotel. The entrance has plenty of off road parking and a stairs to the entry doors.
