Excellent choice if you are going to visit the area.
The pension is very clean and organized.
The owner takes very good care of his premises and his guests.
Breakfast is served at the table and is more than enough to start the day.
The quality-price ratio is phenomenal. Highly recommended

We stayed here based on the positive reviews on here and on Booking. Noting that this is a family run "Pension" rather than a hotel does suggest a level of difference. We were met by George as we tried to park decently. Our room was clean and large enough for us. A good shower and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was certainly a small selection but we felt it was sufficient. Check out and check in were painless and quick. The place is on the edge of modern Olympia and about 5/10 minutes walk to the Ancient site directly down the road. Parking is free. We asked George for eating options and boy does he direct you to the best.
Would recommend here for short "travelling" stays.

friendly and kind family, but we found hair in the bathroom and a wet toilet bowl, not the best. It's fine for a night's stay, but beyond that I don't think it's feasible. there were no shampoos in the bathroom and we had to go out to ask for them...

We're hikers; crossed France, Italy, Albania and now Greece. In Olympia we recommend poppig for the museums <<well-curated expositions>>. The olympic site exceeded all of our expectations. We also hiked a bit about the hills (bring lots of water in the summer and cover your head).
If you want a 5-star hotel with fancy amenities, go elsewhere. But for value and location this is great.
The Posidon is a modest onsite-presence, family-run pension (guest house) two short <<and resultingly quieter>> blocks from the man drag.. It's clean and has individually-controlled AC/heat (didn't try the heat in August). Free strong signal Wi-Fi allowed us to Skype with no problems. Breakfast (included in rental) was fresh and nicely served.

The pension is in a great location; just a few blocks from Ancient Olympia and lots of restaurants and shops so you can walk to anything you may need. There is parking available, rooms have air-conditioners and there is free wifi which is a bonus. We had the breakfast which was fine; the room are simple but very clean with a surprisingly decent sized bathroom.
A good choice for a budget traveler at only 45 Euros for a double room!

We spent a night at Pension Posidon on our visit to the Olympia Archeological site. It's a really small and neat place. If you're looking for a luxury stay then this might not be the place for you. However if you're looking for something that's functional, with clean rooms and loo and great value for money, then this should be your halt in Olympia. It's walking distance from the site and 30 secs away from the main area where all eateries are located. Special word for George, the owner. He is a genuinely friendly guy, and we really enjoyed having the small chat we had with him. If you're staying at Olympia only for a short while and if your focus is being out of the room more than in it, then I'd definitely recommend this cute lil place to you.

Good simple place. Rooms are basic but clean and the hosts are very friendly. We didn't have the breakfast and this is my only gripe. We could of gotten the room through Booking.com cheaper with a breakfast than what we paid for by going direct to the hotel.
The restaurant on the corner of the same building is excellent and about a third of the price of the tourist traps on the main street. Family run and super friendly.

The owner who greeted us was friendly, the room was clean and had a balcony.
Basic accommodation we paid just 35 euros for a night which we found to be great value.
Within walking distance to Ancient Olympia.

The pension is OK. Simple, clean with minimum amenities. The location is perfect, walking distance to the archeological site as well as the main street with all the restaurants and shops. What make this place exceptional reside in is owner. He is very welcoming, always ready to give you travel tips or any pertinent information for your visit. Very social, he will take the time to share part of his experience as an Olympic torch holder!!! We had a memorable time and we thank him very much!

Very central and lovely pension. Stayed in room 8 as single, which was immaculate and very comfortable. Wifi signal was very strong both in room and common area. George was very helpful and welcoming. Would stay again.
