#17 of 67 hotels in Thessaloniki
Travelers' Choice
The recently renovated Park Hotel (Feb. 2018), is conveniently located in the city center, yet far from the noisy streets of Thessaloniki. In just a few minutes walking you could reach the commercial area, many monuments, such as the Ancient Forum and the St. Demetrios Church, and many spots of interest (Ladadika area, Aristotelous Sqr., Bit Pazar etc.). Close to Park Hotel (300m) is the “heart” of Thessaloniki’s night life.

After reading the reviews I was quite concerned but we had a great stay here. We were skeptical about staying at this hotel because of some of reviews but once we got there, we could not see why there were any negative reviews. All the staff we encountered were helpful. Great hotel with nice, clean and quiet rooms.

Please don’t be put off by the negative reviews ! I really don’t understand what they are saying! The room was lovely, very clean and everything was in full working order. We selected this property for the first time and enjoyed it.

This hotel was central, had a lovely View and was nice to be able to sit out on the balcony. The room was very small, there was three adults staying in the room and it was very crammed in the room. The humidity in the room was a problem, but on the second night we did manage to get the air con to stay on for the night. Be carful when using the shower as the floor in the bathroom becomes very wet. The breakfast was nice, but the breakfast room could do with being bigger. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

"You get what you pay for"! Booked to stay 4 nights. We arrived just after midnight, checked in went to our room on the 7th floor. I have never stayed in a room so small ever. The room is taken over by the bed and from the bed I felt as if I was being closed in by the doors in the room...... I was totally claustrophobic. It felt as if I was staying in a 3 star Hostel. The hotel room doors were very close to each other and we constantly heard noise from other occupiers and banging. I couldn't settle and couldn't relax there and decided I had to find somewhere else to stay. We spent the night looking for an alternative hotel on the internet and checked out about 10.30am the next morning (3 days early)...... we had not slept. The receptionist kept stressing that we had booked a Superior City view room and she couldn't understand why we did not want to stay. The Positives:- the room looked newly refurbished and clean as did the bathroom. The hotel is very close to the center of Thessaloniki. This was a very costly experience for us but as I stated at the start of this review; "You get what you pay for".

Stayed in a room without balcony-facing inner area... not to recommend if you plan to stay long time in the room. But it was a good price, you get what you pay for. The room facing the park looked amazing. When using the shower the whole floor got wet! They never cleaned the room after the first night.. not sure why since housekeeping was still on the floor when we left the room (and removed the dont disturb sign). The staff at front desk never paid any attention when entering or leaving the hotel. Never a ”hi or good morning”. At check out we never got the question which should bli mandatory at hotels = ”how was your stay”. The area of the hotel is very nice, easy to reach from the airport bus and easy to walk to city centre. Good wifi. Didnt tried the breakfast. Would we come back? Maybe...
