I enjoyed everything in the Grand Hotel. Wifi was very convenient for work and staying in contact with home. The location was perfect for the meeting I was attending. The room was beautiful and clean and staff was helpful when needed.

New grandiose building but really far from the centre in a run-down area way beyond the railway station, overlooking derelict building plots. No shops or restaurants within walking distance - not that you would want to walk at night. True a taxi ride to the centre is not expensive and the hotel is comfortable with large rooms and helpful staff....

I was there with a group of 12 people. We made a tour in Thessalonique region and we came back to the Grand Palace a few times. The architecture of this hotel is beautiful, unfortunately, the area around is pretty industrial. But it was not a real problem as we were there just for the night. Rooms are well decorated,...

We stayed in this hotel only for a night as an overnight stay returning from our vacations. We were lucky enough to find this room at a reasonable price, only 80 euros, because it was during the period of the International Trade Fair of Thessaloniki and almost everything was booked. The room was spacious, clean and the service was excellent. There was...

Booked many rooms at this hotel for ourselves (as couple to be married!) and our guests! Our booking procedures and accommodation run really smoothly (as compared to some other extremely rude 5star hotel "neighbors"). It was a wonderful and pleasant experience, very clean rooms, a good variety of food at the breakfast and dinner buffets. Very tasty food I must...

Pros - Very reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel, clean, well equipped rooms, polite staff, wide variety of breakfast options. Cons - It's quite far from the city centre and in a rather run down area but there is a bus station right next to the hotel or you can take a taxi (10 minute drive about 5.50 euro)

I had a very brief stay at this hotel as it was used by an airline to put us up for a few hours after a flight cancellation. The hotel has a very old fashioned style about it. It's not to my personal taste, but after travelling via ferry and coach for 17 hours and arriving at 8am. I really...

Ended here after 16 hours delay and travel. Put up by travel company. A pleasant diversion for us. Comfy beds. Good wifi. Helpful and polite staff. Very attentive. Food was very good. Dessert was excellent. By the looks of it the surrounding area not so good.

I stay there for 3 nights for a conference. The room was big nice and clean. The staff was very polite and helpful. But the hotel is not near the city center and you have to take bus or taxi and is not in a nice aria.

An imitation of a luxury hotel. New hotel desperately trying to look "old world" and grand. Old is what they got. Phony palace. Ridiculous decoration, cheap rip offs of artwork and furniture. The "gold" paint is getting worn off in many places and it makes it look even more ridiculous. I stayed two nights while attending a conference. My room...
