Right on the waterfront, this hotel is lovely but fairly generic. We could have been in any major city at any major hotel -- it lacked warmth and although the staff was efficient, they were not the most welcoming. Room service for dinner was prompt but very expensive so we ventured out and had a coffee and pastry in the city instead of staying at the hotel. It was all a bit antiseptic for me but we were just passing through to Rhodes and only there for one evening.

Hotel's Favorite
I staying at this hotel while in business in Thessaloniki. I paid a bit extra to have the sea view and it was worth it. Loved looking at the sea and the boats and watching the locals walking, cycling and jogging up and down the seafront. The room was big and modern, with good sound insulation. The bed was very comfortable. The only problem was that there is a bar next to the hotel ( not part of the hotel) , that plays loud music until midnight. Even with the windows closed you can hear it, so if you are in a room facing the sea, bring ear plugs if you want to sleep before midnight. The breakfast was good, with many choices. However, there were a couple of things I did not like. The waitress forgot my coffee, so I had to ask twice. She did not say ‘ I am sorry, I forgot’ she just said ‘ let me check’. Never apologised. Moreover, this is the first 5 star hotel I have stayed at ( and I stay at about 6-8 per year on average) where guests at breakfast were charged at extra for any other coffee apart from filter coffee and had to pay extra for things like pancakes, omelettes or fried eggs. Extra offers such as these come for free in any hotel I have ever stayed at that calls itself five- star and even four- star. That lack of options ( I only wanted a cappuccino!) left a bit of a sour taste. Also at check out, nobody asked me if my stay was good and if I enjoyed myself. They just said I would receive an email with the receipt and that was it. Again, first time in a five star hotel this happened. Would I return to this hotel again? Maybe, because of its beautiful views of the sea. But I might also try other hotels in Thessaloniki with equally good views…

The hotel offers a very high standard of comfort and service. The back of the hotel faces the 2 mile wonderful promenade. The front of the hotel is off a very busy main road. So I would recommend paying extra for a sea facing room, which we found to be very quiet and we enjoyed the view. A shout out to the housekeeping staff and cleaners who did an amazing job. There is an excellent choice at the self service buffet breakfast. Water and coffee are served to your table. We enjoyed a daily swim in the outdoor pool which was well maintained.

I had a wonderful time in Thessaloniki. I stayed at the Makedonian Palace. The staff were so courteous, amicable and helpful. (When I had a short-circuit in my room, maintenance came in 5 minutes, even though it was past 11:30 p.m.) I had a lovely room with a sea view. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Thessslonika.

We have stayed here before and nothing disappoints. In a great location, and not more than a 30 minute walk to anywhere! The Staff are always extremely helpful and happy to be of service. The amenities are 5 star and if they can’t provide something you need, they help you with finding and booking outside the hotel. Breakfast is amazing! The pool is crystal clear and is cleaned on a daily basis. The boardwalk it sits on is full of life and you have views from the road to the water. Prices are very reasonable for a 5 star hotel. Would always stay when visiting Thessaloniki!

Certainly the best hotel in Thessaloniki from style, facilities and position. This position has been confirmed, with the recent refurbishment. The sea view rooms are definitely the best choice. The are a good size, with large balcony view over the gulf. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh and universally excellent. The restaurant although expensive was excellent with beautiful fish and a reasonable choice of gluten free options. A top class version of the modern Greek new wave.

The room was spacious and the bathroom fully equipped with all necessities amenities. The room was always impeccably cleaned, towels changed everyday and toiletries replaced. The view from the room was beautiful and the hotel is within walking distance from the centre. The staff was all very helpful and accommodating. The receptionist provided us with different activities we could do throughout the day, depending on our interests. The cleaning staff and the staff at the breakfast were aways very polite and the security at the garage was always ready to assist us with a smile. Vast options are offered at the breakfast buffet. Something to note is that you have to pay for coffee such as cappuccino, espresso and americano. The drinks included with the breakfast were greek coffee and hot chocolate. Overall an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Will definitely visit again.

We are coming to an end of our weeks stay here. The hotel is 20 minutes away from the airport, taxi price 30 euros. Arriving at the hotel it looks very grand. Checkin was very quick. Our room faced the main road it is double glazed so there is no noice. The room is very spacious, nice large bed, good pillows. Rain shower with Individual nuxe toiletries nice fluffy towels. There is a mini bar and kettle in the room ( only 2 coffee, 2 milk and 1 teabag) safe is also on the room. The room was nice and clean when we arrived. Bath robes and slippers are in the room . 1 bottle of water on the side but we never received any more after the first. During our stay. We had to go to reception twice as the cops were not washed and coffee replaced. Breakfast very nice good assortment, filter coffee is included in the price other coffee are charged extra along with omelette, fried egg and pancakes. The Pool is very nice but for me this is the biggest problem area of the hotel. There are no locks on the toilets, pool towels are provided. There are not enough beds. On a few occasions we went down and no beds were available the young lady is not helpful at all but amazing we watched certain people after us arriving and beds were produced from the back for them. The pool area does not open till 10 am. The umbrellas are all down and you are expected to put the umbrellas up yourself while she sits and watches for me this would be the first area I would tackle if I was the manager. On the whole I found most of the staff unfriendly , never a good morning from any of them and I think this is where it lacks atmosphere. Would not recommend and will not return
