Majestic: this word is not an overstatement when it comes to the Electra Palace hotel in Thessaloniki. Built in one of the most impressive city squares of Greece, Aristotelous Sq., facing the endless sea of the Thermaikos Gulf, its architecture at once imposing and noble, it is one of the city's architectural gems. Inside the hotel's byzantine-inspired exterior, hides a neoclassical heart: wood paneling, marble inlay and wooden floors, plush carpets, cabriole and chesterfield sofas, ornate furniture, luxurious details, generous amenities and, of course, breathtaking views: on a clear day one can easily see as far as mount Olympus across the gulf. Beneath the Electra Palace Thessaloniki's windows and balconies, lies the lively center of a vibrant city: Aristotelous Square. In between city square and mighty mountain, the expansive horizon, the endless blue of the sea. Right in the heart of city, the Electra Palace Thessaloniki is ideally located whether you are in town for business or pleasure: within walking distance from the shopping district, the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center, most major monuments, museums and sites, the Ladadika area and right across from Olympion cinema that hosts the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, it is the place to stay when meeting with business partners, attending trade shows, enjoying the city's rich cultural scene or exploring its nightlife. Featuring comfortable, well equipped rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a gym and spa, a wonderful restaurant on the top floor, and the renowned Electra Hotels and Resorts service, it is also the par excellence place to unwind and relax, enjoying unparalleled views and the hospitality you deserve.

    Very enjoyable stay
We had three nights here in early September, and the hotel met all our needs and more. Our spacious, airy room on the 6th floor had a generous private balcony with a fantastic view over the square and out to sea - we could have spent hours sitting there watching city life going on below. Staff were pleasant and cheerful, despite the COVID restrictions, and we felt quite safe with obvious regular cleaning of public areas and lots of hand sanitiser stations around the building. Breakfast was good and the staff are working very hard, but having to direct guests around the dining area so they can choose their items and be served was proving a bit of a muddle - some clearer direction would have helped guests and made it easier for the staff. However most people were respectful of each other's space. We didn't eat at the restaurant as there are so many wonderful places to eat in Thessaloniki, but we wished we had had a bit more time to relax at the bar and use the pool area - it all looks great. We really fell for the city and want to return next year, so we will definitely use this hotel again. Many thanks to all staff.
Dear Loretta R, Thank you for your your preference to Electra Palace Thessaloniki and for sharing your 5* review! We are more than delighted to know that your experience with us proved to be memorable & enjoyable one ! Thank you also for your loyalty and your thoughts to vivit us again in the future. We hope that you had agreat time in Thessaloniki overall and we look forward to welcoming you again. Warmest Regards, Dimitra Nikoli PR & Business Development Manager

    Good choice for Thessaloniki
We stayed here for three nights after finally managing to break out of the UK during this pandemic. The location is excellent - right in the Centre. The staff were excellent - friendly and attentive. Our room was clean and modern and the roof top bar and small pool were stunning. The views from the rooftop across Aristotelis Square to the sea are amazing. They had everything covered in terms of Covid - masks throughout communal areas, staff wearing masks; they asked whether you wanted the room cleaning etc etc. Breakfast although buffet style was served up by the staff so you had to queue and then ask for what you wanted. This is my only criticism as the staff were run ragged by this and guests weren’t sure where to stand for food resulting in confusion and big queues. Also you had to download a QR code from the TV for your ticket number which we didn’t know about on the first day as we hadn’t been told and didn’t have our TV on. Apart from that would certainly rate our stay as very good and would return in the future.
Dear Ms.Shantele72 , Thank you for your preference to Electra Palace Thessaloniki and for your detailed review. We are really delighted to know that you enjoyed our Roof Garden , our fully renovated rooms and mostly our service! Please kindly note that we have to apply all Covid-19 restrictions for our valued guests'. In these terms the buffet style serving lasts a little bit longer and has to be arranged and controlled by our staff. We hope that you had a great time in Thessaloniki after all and we look forward to welcoming you soon ! Kind Regards, Dimitra Nikoli PR & Business Development Manager

    The best hotel in Thessaloniki
This is a top quality hotel in the best location in Thessaloniki. We have visited many times but this was the first since the refurbishment which has made it even better with a contemporary and stylish feel whilst retaining the classic grandeur of scale and luxury. Turnover in a city hotel is very high yet the breakfast staff remembered our orders and were extremely efficient in managing a high volume of customers, keeping tables cleared and replenishing the excellent breakfast choice. It’s great to see that the buffet breakfast has been retained as so many UK hotels have stopped this. One of our party needed gluten free options and this was fully understood by the management and staff and accommodated without any fuss. The roof top restaurant and cocktail bar used to be full of local people in the evenings but is now reserved mainly for guests to enjoy and feel safe. We enjoyed drinks on the terrace one evening and had a wonderful special meal on another occasion. We understand that there is a new chef and would highly recommend the food. It was beautifully presented, delicious and the service was discrete and efficient. Protective gloves are provided for all guests at breakfast as well as a complementary mask and hand gel in the room. COVID protocols and cleaning regimes were strictly observed by staff and management and this is the best that we have seen anywhere. Rooms are extremely comfortable, clean and the new bathrooms have excellent walk in powerful showers, fluffy towels and are well equipped with Korres products. Cleaning is daily, and to a very high standard, unlike some UK hotels. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Thessaloniki with fantastic views from the rooms at the front and side. 6th floor rooms have comfortable sofas and chairs to enjoy the views, and watch the hustle and bustle of the city, which never sleeps, below. It is close to the Ladadika area which was full of life all day and evening with lots of choice to eat and drink and close to the shopping area and markets. This is simply the best hotel to stay, in Thessaloniki.

As a well travelled person and having sampled many 5* hotels around the world, I can honestly say that I have never received such excellent personal service as at the Electra Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki - from Alexandros the General Manager, who personally welcomed us, to Alexia, Guest Relations, nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were exceptionally helpful to the extent that one of the porters even kindly weighed our cases for us to check we were not overweight. The breakfast was magnificent, as was the location and the view from our bedroom. Thank you all at Electra Palace for making our trip so memorable.

We booked and paid for a premium sea view room, as you can see from the photo attached you could not see the sea from the room. If you went out on the balcony and looked right you could see the sea. At best this was a premium side sea view but the hotel insisted it was a premium sea view room. They would not budge on this, I think at best this is mis leading from the photos supplied to describe the rooms on the website which also include a sofa, in reality our room was not big enough to accommodate a sofa. We were left feeling we did not get the room we had paid for a premium side sea view being cheaper. The room number was 309. Breakfast was very good as was service elsewhere in hotel.. Only downside issue over room.

Dear Mrs. Cathy, We would like to thank you for taking the time to post your honest feedback after your recent stay in our hotel. We really value customer feedback and we want to offer a very nice experience to all our guests. Thank you also for your kind words with regards to our breakfast buffet and our kind service. Guest satisfaction is our primary concern and constructive feedback helps us better understand our guests’ needs and wants which we can use in order to improve and offer a better overall offering. The room type in which you stayed in, is a Premium Double Sea View room. Nonetheless, we understand that you did not find the view to the sea satisfying. Should we have known during your stay, we would move you to another room right away and without a question. You also mention that the photograph on our website includes a sofa and can be misleading. Looking at the photograph and the information posted on our website, I can understand how it can confuse guests. The room with the sofa is basically a triple room, the design and aesthetic are exactly the same with the double room but they differ in size and the sofa. The square meters shown online for each room category are correct but we only include pictures with the sofa which can be interpreted as a standard feature in all premium sea view rooms. The experience of our guests is of outmost importance to us and we are always at your service to ensure you have a pleasant stay with us. We hope we get the chance to welcome you back to the Electra Palace Thessaloniki and we remain at your disposal for anything you may need in the meantime. Kind regards, Alexia Kolatskou/Guest Relations Manager

here is no other option when it comes to hotels in Thessaloniki!!! There are countless reasons to stay at the Electra Palace but here are my top reasons: - Electra Palace masters the feel of a grand hotel without losing the charm of Greek culture. I never felt that I was removed from the culture. - The most incredible staff! They were a great help to us with parking, recommendations, and how to get football tickets - Location is EVERYTHING!!!! Located in Aristotelous square, it is walking distance from everything (shopping, food, White Tower, etc) - Very clean and modern rooms - Breakfast is a MUST. The spread is massive and authentic. Arguably the best Greek yogurt in all of Greece. Breakfast is served overlooking Aristotelous square and it’s just breathtaking There is no where better to stay in Thessaloniki!

This was the largest sum that I have payed for a hotel for 7 nights - it worked out about £89 per person per night (there were 3 of us) however, you do feel like the value is there. The biggest buffet breakfast style I have ever seen in a hotel. With there being 2 pools (1 indoor, 1 outdoor) it really meant that whatever the weather, we could have a good time. The only negative I could say about this was that when we left to go out for the day at around 11, we put the sign on the door to service the room, when we got back at 5, it still wasn't done. I phoned down to housekeeping and within 5 minutes someone was at the door and we sat by the pool for about 30 minutes whilst it was being cleaned.

Forget Sani. Thessaloniki has too much to offer. Don’t fly in and head straight to the beach. Head to the city and the only place to stay is Electra Palace. The breakfasts are legendary and this hotel is an absolute gem. I seriously cannot give it enough credit. 5 stars are not enough.

I have stayed at many luxuryhotels/resorts in my life, but Electra Palace tops anything I’ve stayed at. I booked an executive sea view room and it was spectacular. I had a few questions about our stay and emailed Rania and she was amazing. I got to meet her upon check-in, and she was extremely helpful. The room was spotless and had a luxurious scent to it. The view of the sea was breathtaking. The staff goes above and beyond expectations. We had the opportunity to use the spa pool for a little relaxation and it was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel, when staying in Thessaloniki.
