Majestic: this word is not an overstatement when it comes to the Electra Palace hotel in Thessaloniki. Built in one of the most impressive city squares of Greece, Aristotelous Sq., facing the endless sea of the Thermaikos Gulf, its architecture at once imposing and noble, it is one of the city's architectural gems. Inside the hotel's byzantine-inspired exterior, hides a neoclassical heart: wood paneling, marble inlay and wooden floors, plush carpets, cabriole and chesterfield sofas, ornate furniture, luxurious details, generous amenities and, of course, breathtaking views: on a clear day one can easily see as far as mount Olympus across the gulf. Beneath the Electra Palace Thessaloniki's windows and balconies, lies the lively center of a vibrant city: Aristotelous Square. In between city square and mighty mountain, the expansive horizon, the endless blue of the sea. Right in the heart of city, the Electra Palace Thessaloniki is ideally located whether you are in town for business or pleasure: within walking distance from the shopping district, the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center, most major monuments, museums and sites, the Ladadika area and right across from Olympion cinema that hosts the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, it is the place to stay when meeting with business partners, attending trade shows, enjoying the city's rich cultural scene or exploring its nightlife. Featuring comfortable, well equipped rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a gym and spa, a wonderful restaurant on the top floor, and the renowned Electra Hotels and Resorts service, it is also the par excellence place to unwind and relax, enjoying unparalleled views and the hospitality you deserve.

We had booked an executive room with side sea view and we wrote in the coomments that we'd like room 605. They never answered whether our demand had been accepted or not and when we arrived, at the beginning they told us (Thodoris at the reception) that our demand was accepted and that he had forgotten to send us an answer and a little bit later he told us that he had made a mistake and that the room was occupied. He gave us room 622 which did not have side sea view from the room but only from the far end of the balcony. The room had been paid beforehand with the same price as room 605 we had asked for, which was not fair. From the room the only view we have is an old building and if we want to see the sea we have to go to the far end of the balcony. When I cimplained they told us that we could be transferred tommorrow but I came on business and it's difficult to pack my things again for one night. At least they should not have charged us the same price as room 605.

Hotel's Favorite
Although my wife and I often visit Thessaloniki, it was the first time we stayed at this emblematic hotel. Unfortunately.. If you stay at this hotel, there is no return to go and stay at another hotel in the city. Quality, level, excellent facilities, and the staff who are simply perfect. The hospitality we received was exemplary, and the hotel's services are on another level. We had booked a superior room on the 3rd floor with a view of the square and the sea, excellent. allthough i have to mention that there was some noise from below despite the soundproofing. The breakfast was very good both in terms of variety and quality.Definately it is expensive but this is compensated by the perfection in every small detail of the stay.Highly reccommended!

No parking available in the hotel. You need to park somewhere else and hotel recommended us a 10 mins walking distance place. Each time we use car, we need to go pick the car and same on the eay back. No valet available. Weird for a 5 star hotel. If you get a sea view room, that should be fine. All other rooms see the builging shaft with Ac motors and super disturbing. You cannot open the window. Not worth money at all. 1 bottle of water complimentary on arrival day. Never replenished. Most of the hotels offer for free replenishment every day.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We always welcome constructive feedback as it is through our guests' experiences that we can identify areas of improvement and enhance our overall offering. Allow me to kindly inform you that being in the most central location of the city and given the hotel building is a historic building, there is no on-site parking. Nonetheless, we do co-operate with nearby establishments, within just 200 meters walking distance from our hotel and our guests benefit from discounted prices. It is true that the classic rooms which have internal views have a big difference compared to the nice views of the front rooms. We would suggest examining different room categories for your next visit. We find that guests who select rooms with sea views or even side views, enjoy the relaxing sights of Aristotelous Square and the Thermaikos Gulf and leave with some great memories. With regards to the bottle of water in the room, this is a gesture we put in all rooms to welcome our guests to the hotel. Furthermore, the tap water in Thessaloniki is safe to drink and we have priced the water in the mini-bar at cost so that our guests have access to drinking water. Additionally, our colleagues are very customer centric and always provide extra water bottles if requested. Thank you for your feedback and we remain at your disposal for anything you may need. Kind regards, Alexia Kolatskou Guest Relations Manager

This beautiful hotel was in the center of the city with stunning views of the gulf. It was easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping. One of our favorite shops to buy Greek items was Oli-catessen. The complimentary rooftop breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. Most taxi drivers did not take credit cards. We would definitely stay here again.

I often travel to Thessaloniki, and each time, I need to change hotels. This trip was for pleasure, not business, and it was a great experience. The reception staff were extremely good and very polite. I would also like to extend my thanks to the breakfast staff for their warmth and friendliness. I definitely have positive feedback for the hotel: it’s a solid 5 stars. Overall, everything was very good. See you next time!

From the moment we walked into the lobby of this majestic building, we were transported to a luxurious place of serenity, comfort, and tranquillity. The staff always had a smile, and were always willing to help us with ANY of our needs. They were an excellent source to help us discover Thessaloniki. The rooms were spectacular (we got the side sea view rooms) giving us a glimpse of the hustle and bustle of the city below. Breakfast or sunset at the Roof Top restaurant is a must!

Spa : 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 to Rafaela did a great therapy to me. I did an Inner-balance (anti-stress massage). It was really released after her treatment. I was feeling painful on spot A without tell her but she lower the power immediately and asked me if it was here painful at spot A which really impressed me !!! Breakfast : Good quality food but the seats were crowded actually and out door seats were too hot. Maybe can build some sunshade on the building. Room & Bed : not so big as you’ll expect from the price but it’s ok. Location : Excellent !!! Can go almost everywhere with foot !

We stayed here for three nights while on a tour. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Our shower drain was clogged and the fixed it while we were out and it was perfect after that. The breakfast was full of many options with fresh squeezed fruit juices. I loved the location close to the water for night walks and sitting in the square.

Far from being the unforgettable stay that the Electra Palace, Thessaloniki promises, this is an experience we would rather forget. A pity as it was a special occasion for us and I asked them when booking for a nice room. As with several other reviewers on this site we booked a Premium Seaview room based on the description and photo on the website that depicted a large room with a chair and sofa. We were given a very small room with a tub chair and very little space. When I spoke to reception they insisted I was in a Premium room but did offer to “upgrade” us. Yes! Upgrade us to the room we booked and paid for! Unfortunately, it was too late and too much hassle to move as we had unpacked and were getting ready for dinner. The photos depict the difference in the rooms we booked and what we received. This one of several reviews on Trip Advisor about this, at best, misleading practice and the website still shows the large Premium room with the extra space and furniture. So be aware! Check that the room you are allocated is the room type you booked and paid for. A truly unforgettable experience for us for all the wrong reasons

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for taking the time to send us your honest feedback after your recent stay in our hotel. We really value customer feedback and we want to offer a very nice experience to all our guests. The room type in which you stayed in, is a Premium Double Sea View room. Nonetheless, we understand that you did not find your room satisfying due to the lack of sofa. You also mention that the photograph on our website includes a sofa and can be misleading. We have identified the confusion caused looking at the photograph and the information posted on our website and we had recently similar feedback. The room with the sofa is basically a triple room, the design and aesthetic are exactly the same with the double room but they differ in size and the sofa. The square meters shown online for each room category are correct but we only include pictures with the sofa which can be interpreted as a standard feature in all premium sea view rooms. Since we can understand how it can confuse guests we will adjust that to include pictures of the room with both a sofa and without to avoid confusion. The photoshooting is already done and the updated photos will be uploaded shortly. The experience of our guests is of outmost importance to us and that is why as soon as you mentioned it, we suggested to move you to another room free of charge. And of course your special occasion of celebration was something important to us as you saw later that evening when we brought you our offer to enjoy it after your dinner. We hope we get the chance to welcome you back to the Electra Palace Thessaloniki and we remain at your disposal for anything you may need in the meantime. Kind regards, Alexia Kolatskou/Guest Relations Manager
