Lovely staff, nice rooms and breakfast. No English tv news station. Pool and jacuzzi nice but small so only allowing 2 ppl in at moment. Location was just out of centre of Thes and around the old or maybe derelict port so bit run down but wasn’t far in.
Amazing rooms, especially those overlooking the harbor and the city! Excellent breakfast, (I met the chef personally), and amazing service. It is a hotel that is a destination in itself. In all the rooms there is a work of art, which makes it unique in Thessaloniki. In the common areas one can welcome associates and friends Be sure to try Chan Restaurant. It sounds like I'm advertising it but the simple truth is that I am a devoted fan of this space that I feel respects me! Panos Papadopoulos
Great hotel, great location, super friendly staff. The best part, was that they arranged for our COVID testing, prior to our departure. Apparently they run an in-house service, and the nurse came to our room. I was very stressed out about that, but it was super easy. Thankfully! Highly recommended.
I stayed one night in The Met Hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable. I appreciate the most the very friendly staff, precisely the man who worked in the reception in the night shift in that night. He was very friendly and helpful. I recommend that place for stay.
We have invited people to host an event at this hotel and we had also the pleasure to stay and enjoy the city of Thessaloniki for a short time. The hotel offers excellent services and particularly our communication with Ms. Voevoda responsible for company events was efficient and effective. I highly recommend this place !!!
Let's start from the end. Not 5 stars. Dirty, lacking in atmosphere, terrible balcony, stuck elevator, no guard at the entrance, jeep parked at the entrance to the lobby !! Terrible disappointment! For the first time in my life we left a hotel after one night. Not only is the experience shocking now the hotel is shaking off the credit. awkward! Highly recommend Macedonia Palace - where we spent the rest of the holiday ...
Beautifully designed hotel, amazing pool at the rooftop, very good breakfast, the staff was amazing, replied to every little thing that we needed, we will definitely gonna come back to this hotel in the future. Thank you Maria and all other staff members for an excellent stay! Nir V.
Amazing property and impeccable service. Highly recommend this property when visiting the lovely port town of Thessaloniki. I can’t say enough about the service. Location is not the best, but worth the €3 cab ride into town. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend. Thank you to the staff at The Met for truly bending over backwards to make our stay a true treat.
Hello everyone, I have stayed at the Met hotel for one night in early June. We arrived around 9:30pm for one night. We are traveling w a dog and staying in many hotels - each of the hotels usually charges a extra for the dog but also provides a dog bed, water bowl etc. - charges are usually 20-40 euro. The Met charges without to give any value… 50 euro per night. Arrival in the room was already relatively unpleasant - no hygiene measures, tissues (5 pcs in the box) looked like they had been used. Bathroom floor dirty (stained)… Wet amenities not worth the money being paid. Towels old and worn out. Second toilet paper roll almost on the floor - without cover or protection. Floor scratched - over room conditions average at most. The balcony - great but no chairs… We apparently got upgraded - ‘port-view room’ a terrible view and we never asked for it. At 11:30pm the room next door was talking on the phone - not loud, but the walls are so thin that we could hear every word that’s was spoken. That went on for a good hour. Our room was next to the fire staircase - the door was open and the hotel team seems to use it…again noise till almost 3am. It was nice to meet hotel manager at 8am the next day - besides ‘sorry’ he didn’t have much to say. I offered him to take a look at our room to understand the issues. I had asked him to look into compensation as I do not accept this service - especially not from a 5* Hotel. After our check-out the team told that the charges for the dog had been taken off… Not really a compensation for me. Since three weeks I am following up and wrote a note to the hotel Management…zero response. This approach is absolutely unacceptable, a poor handling and a somewhat very arrogant approach. Selling rooms and experiences like we had and claiming it to be 5* is not right and is misleading guests and customers. …
A quick early September escape in salonika. As the Macedonia Palace was not available this was our second choice. Very low priced in comparison. Extremely clean minimal furnished and styles bedrooms. Staff always available and ready to help. Roof top pool has the best views anyone can wish for. Great cocktails. Very close to city centre and convenient train station near. Very comfortable rooms and bedding. Extremely clean and covid systems aware.
