I've been a guest of Monogram family for a couple of nights(3or 4). The staff was warm, friendly, helpful and with smiling faces all the time. Gave me a short briefing about the city and where to visit, where to eat. Provided a couple of maps. And insisting on feeding me with freshly baked tasty cookies as my room was prepared. The room was clean, very spacious with high ceiling. Bed was very comfortable. Pillows were more than I could ask for. Location of the hotel allows you to walk nearly everywhere. Very close to Ladadika tavernas. Everything was nearly too good to be true. And the breakfast. Killer of my keto diet;)) It's served to the room, delicious food with satisfying portions (I'm still keeping the empty jam jars). Probably the best breakfast in town ;) I also had to have a couple of sweet smelling soaps as I was leaving. I can say that Monogram Hotel did exceeded my expectations. A very well deserved 5 stars. I will definitely be staying again when I can get back to Thessaloniki. Oh please try Big Kahuna Burger across the street, you won't regret it. …
It is a renovated old apartment building turned into a hotel. It therefore does not have a breakfast room, but instead they bring breakfast to your room. It is very clean and at the center of the city. The only problem you might have is that if you arrive late, the parking they are working with might be closed, so they will send you to another parking which is 10 minutes walk away. Overall I highly recommend it.
Monogram is very nice hotel perfectly situated next to main shopping street Tzimiski and numerous nice taverns and bars in Ladadika. Room was big with comfortable beds. Free tea, coffee and water in room. Breakfast served in room at time of your choice. Recommend for families with kids.
Monogram is in the center of Salonika, very close to the waterfront, Aristotle Square and Ladadika neighborhood, where one can find traditional taverns with great Greek and Cretan food. Hotel itself is clean, rooms are comfortable, staff very welcoming and price very good. Main problem was the morning noise from the busy Tsimitski street, but then - why would you wNt to sleep late when you can go oyt and experience the great city of Thessaloniki.
Monogram Located very close to the center. Very polite reception service. Huge room. Very comfortable bed. Nice and clean. Close to the very busy street so the noise can be an issue. Breakfast is served in the room. Value for the money.
After a horrible flight experience we had to arrange for an unexpected overnight stay in Thessaloniki. Monogram Hotel came up at a decent price for a last minute booking that was centrally located. We arrived at the hotel very early in the morning (i.e. 1:30am) and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our room was large and clean. They had a lot of small bathroom amenities, which I thought was great (i.e. dental kit, soaps etc). The hotel did not have a restaurant and so, they served breakfast in the room and it had everything you needed to get energized for the day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Thessaloniki for a short city stay
This hotel is very simply furnished but rooms were large and clean. Staff all very helpful. Quite a small reception area and nowhere to sit except your room. My only beef is that you have to have breakfast delivered to your room as there is no dining area. Therefore you get lukewarm coffee and a tray full of food that I didn’t really fancy. Much prefer to go down to a breakfast room and choose what I want. Having said that, I would stay here again, it’s in a great location close to loads of restaurants, bars.
The rooms are large but poorly designed and furnished, The bathroom is open to the room and there is no place to put the towels. breakfast in the room is really a stupid concept, and the worst, despite the promise in Booking: "NO PREPAYMENT NEEDED – pay at the property" They charged my credit card in advance which was very bad for me as I booked all 4 rooms for my friends. When I asked - They told me about their policy. Am I expected to read each hotel polidy when booking via booking.com? Alltogether big dissapointment except the location. Even a tiny lobby is not part of what the hotel offers.
Hotel has a great location in the middle of restaurants close to shore with bars and also shopping. It is certainly not a luxury property but a very decent bed and breakfast. Staff was nice and knowledgeable. Room spacious as we had a family room. Towels unfortunately urgently need a change as they were grey and quite hard. The in room breakfast was also positively surprising with traditional Greek items.. I would come back for a stay up to maximum 2 nights...not suitable for a longer stay. Price value is quite ok considering you pay double in Paris or London for the same class of hotel half the room size..breakfast excluding with a not so central location
Nothing luxury about the hotel from the first step you take in. Hotel entrance is not easy to see as there are renovations on the exterior of the building and also it is mostly a pedestrian street-so you cannot reach with your vehicle. The entrance might be a real challenge with suitcases too. We have stayed for 4 nights at the first floor, wanted an upper floor but told it was not possible- which might be understandable if the staff acted more kindly and maybe offered a small gesture, but this wasn’t the case at all. Rooms are spacious. This is one of the only pros of the hotel. Rooms are really big, you can travel with loads of luggage and still find place to your own in the room. Nevertheless the design is poor-lets say very very minimalistic. You don’t feel any luxuriousness or trendiness in the room design, but just basic needs are covered. Flat tv is too small for the room, not really watcheable international tv channels or netflix. Shower has no door and due to the angle of the tap, it is impossible not to splash water outside of the shower. Also the mechanism for the shower is not clear. Anyway it is good that shower and wc are separated but not in a trendy/luxury way. Wc is really unbearable, it is the smallest cubicle for such a large room. If you close the door of the wc, you feel like suffocating. Also the wc is too high even for a 180cm height person, you have to sit while your feet don’t touch the floor-very uncomfortable and strange-nothing luxury about it as the hotel proclaims itself. The bathroom amenities are ok but not renewed everyday, so as the complimentary drinks in the minibar-you have to call the reception and ask for renewal. Not a premium feeling... One thing impressive about the hotel is that you are given a complimentary smartphone with unlimited data & international calls during your stay. This was really thoughtful. It could also be really practical if only the operating system, the RAM, battery life and camera capabilities of the phone were not so poor. Therefore using that phone was such a pain most of the time. Maybe if it allowed hotspot, it could be more convenient-as you would have used your own phone instead... The breakfast in room might be a nice thing for a boutique hotel but this one definitely lacks the premium touch, or lets say any touch at all. It is served in a a very basic way. A tray not even a trolley at first might be acceptable if the content is good, but this wasn’t the case. Very basic stuff like in a motel/bed&breakfast. And even the beverages are served cold as there are no pots. The juices are served but really bad taste & better not to try... Overall a very very moderate hotel lacking of comfort, luxury and trendiness in a very lively & central neighborhood. Could have been a little bit more satisfied if the price/performance wasn’t this bad & wasn’t promoted as a luxury hotel but maybe a bed&breakfast with a spacious room & central location. …
