This is not a normal hotel. This is a place to relax and enjoy. Truly a gem in Greece. The rooms are spacious. Views from the top of the hotel are gorgeous. Breakfast was wonderful. The bathroom has a bathtub. Great experience!

We loved every moment of our stay in Imaret. The building is a treasure of the otoman empire, wonderfully preserved and cared for with much love. it offer places for a private dinner or breakfast or just a good wine. tranquility and peace among the sound of the fountains and the seagulls that scan the bay. thank you to all... We visited the hotel for dinner one evening. The welcoming was very warm and polite. We asked if we could have our drinks first in another location of the hotel and we were allowed in the residents area on a terrace under a canopy overlooking the courtyard and pool. It was very pleasant. We then went for dinner in a... More

Feeling truly horrible to be held at the door with a very clear intention that we should not be bothering the guests with our kids presence. We were met and hold at the entrance by a hotel representative with: " the hotel is only for guest use till 12.00 ". We have answered that will be back in half an... More

he spirit of the place. In fact it's very complicated to make a luxury hotel in a historical building. There are almost no such places in Greece. Here they were successful. The management knows how the 5-star hotel runs: very friendly, not many mistakes in service from the stuff. The kitchen in the restaurant tries to make an impression of... More

We enjoyed a long weekend at the Imaret Hotel where our two friends had exclusively reserved for their wedding celebrations. Our room was huge, every detail felt authentic and ancient. We received great service from start to finish. I would love to get away for a weekend and go back to this beautiful place.

I stayed in this hotel for New Year. Hotel is located in hill with beautiful view on Kavala. I liked architecture - its built from stones also inside rooms. Room was really big and cozy. Without Tv and with soft lights it brings really mediaeval atmosphere. You can find there swimming pool, nice imaret bar with oil paintings, great massages,... More

We stayed with a group of friends in this historic place, made as a medrese (school) and an eating place for poor residents, by Mehmet Ali Pasha. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, respecting the old features. Though highly priced, it was worth every penny, for the experience. it, for the experience.

Walking in. The purpose was to have a nice lunch. Asking for it... The lady in the receptions says that "we only seve dinner and you need to book. For now you can only order a sandwich". Ok. The waiter gives you a full list of dishes, including fish, meat , pasta... We thought that the lady is a new... More

The Imaret is a world apart, a rare jewel, where East meets West in Northern Greece. A historical monument crowning the hillside overlooking the picturesque harbour of Kavala, the hotel combines the grandeur of Greek Roman and Byzantine Style with a scent of the orient, and the elegance of Hellenic hospitality.
