We enjoyed our 2 nights stay on 2nd floor over looking the small beach and old city. Breakfast was excellent and the bed comfortable. The pool area was lovely and well maintained and pool a good place to cool off. The highlight was our massages in their spa with Melanie. First time for a candle wax massage which was delightful and skin still felt good 24 hours later. Spent an hour before it using the sauna, steam room and indoor pool. It’s a must.
Great room with really comfy bed and a superb breakfast made this hotel stay memorable. A couple of superb evening meals and a trip to the spa along with great service made our stay in Kavala extra special. Will definitely be back again!
Besides the furniture which gloriously survived the 90’ties and the extremely dubious colors of the bathtub (I think the cleaning lady missed that aspect for the last 3-5 years), we got the chance to discover the genius of the hotel management when we wanted to dine on the terrace near the pool. That’s the only one they have opened, by the way. On the terrace they have about 20 tables out of which one was busy. After the guy in the reception told us we can have dinner outside, the guy handling the service on the famous terrace kindly told us that we should eat in our room because a la carte clients can’t dine on the terrace. 🤷♂️Leaving aside the feeling that gives you, the rule is either idiotic or at least dumb. As we just want to grab something to eat and go to sleep fast (thanks God we stayed here only one night) we ordered something in the room. After about 40 minutes they served us in the room. The food was pure mediocre and we paid for it something around 60 Euro. We slept thru the night and left 6.00, even though our plans were to spend another night. Now if you want to overpay on a 3 star hotel and brag around that you stayed in a 5 star the place is perfect! …
We stayed for 5 nights but if we had the chance to extent we would. The hotel facilities were amazing breakfast was fantastic, they upgrade us to a junior suite and our kids were comfortable... the hotel kept all the rules and restrictions for coronavirus! The hotel is situated on the beach and have a pool!! We were unlucky not to enjoy the hotel amenities as due to restrictions pool bar was closed!! Definitely recommended and we will visit in the near future hopefully!! The hotel was clean and the people were friendly
The hotel has an excellent location - at the outskirts of Kavala (around a 30-minute walk from the center), at the very shore of the Aegean Sea. Staff is quite helpful and dedicated to provide 5-star service - at the reception desk, housekeeping, at the restaurant - everyone was beyong polite. Stayed at a Junior Suite Sea view room - the view is just breathtaking.
Pros : The location, the free and easy parking, the breakfast, the views from the restaurants and the room, the pool, the beach, the friendly staff, the quality of the recent renovations, the quietness on the rooms (one cannot hear the A/C!) To summarise, the hotel and the room exceeded our expectations. At check-in, we were offered an upgrade to a junior suite with sea-view, without asking and at no extra cost. Very nice gesture. Cons : If coming back to Kavala, we will definitely stay again at Lucy Hotel. - The mattresses are a bit too hard, but I guess that not much can be done about that until the next renovation. - There are stains on the carpet in the rooms. The wall-to-wall carpet is of a dark beige uniform colour, not the best choice for a hotel on the beach. - The coffee at breakfast is awful, but the staff kindly offered free of charge espresso and other proper coffee from the bar.…
Stayed here with the tour group and was pleasantly surprised. 3-4 Star Hotel though, but great view and little beach. Room was basic but clean. Bed was like a brick, but the buffets for breakfast and dinner were the best in our tour. The pool and beach were both great to relax at after a day touring!
Hotel was 5 star hotel maybe 5-10 years ago, you can really see the age, so little renovation would be a level up for this place. I would say this is 4 star hotel. But i dont see this a bad thing. Hotel is really beautiful. Location is perfect, little restaurants near and good beach just 10meters away. I recommend to rent a car if you want to see places and visit old town as we did almost every night. Hotel has free parking and you can always find a space to park. Oh, the room. Perfect. Clean (this one is most important to me) and best bed iv ever slept. New towels everyday. Staff, amazing! So warm and friendly, you feel really welcommed in this place. Breakfast is small, but it is good. This hotel is not crowded, and you can always find a table at breakfast, chairs at pool or beach etc. …
Delicious and rich breakfast. Good location, has a beach right next to the hotel, not the best, but ok for the first day. Not far from the city centre. The hotel room need renovation, I think it is overprized. Hotel staff are kind and responsive.
