Very warm and surprising welcome, especially that we were accommodated in the presidential suite. The staff was very polite, starting from the reception, restaurants, beach bar, spa...Clean rooms, private pool, green gardens, sandy beach...
We'll remember the tasty dishes for breakfast and dinner, as well as experience hands of spa treatments.
Summary, amazing memories from the stay in Aegean Melathron this September!

… probably was a luxurious car to drive in 1997 (and some years after), but it won’t meet standards in 2021. Just to make the point that the hotel, when it comes to building infrastructure, common areas decoration and amenities, still needs to enter the 21 century. It is very well maintained, clean, making it a perfect decor for some nineties dated series. But for a holiday (we stayed three nights), it borders weird. Same for the rooms: perhaps a plastic curtain sticking to your body when you take a shower in a bath was acceptable in a five star hotel in the eighties or nineties of the previous century, but not so today. The mirror had seen and showed forty years of humidity. The safe and airco, though still doing the job, are almost pieces of industrial archeology. The furniture in the bedroom was so Baywatch/Beverly hills/Miami Vice (name your series) styled that I would call it vintage if I wouldn’t have to sleep in, or among it. The food at night was actually very good, interesting, diverse, fresh and of high quality (kudos to the chefs) and far from your average all-in buffet grub. But requiring men to wear long trousers when you have the heaviest heat wave in thirty years and not sufficient seats in the aircoed dining room, so having to put them on a plastic covered terrace with temperatures exceeding 35 degrees, is not recommendable (I see the trousers point for men, even if some women hardly wore more textile at the table than at the swimming pool, and such was not always a pleasure to behold). Probably, dripping sweat in your tatziki wasn’t a point in the nineties, I can’t recall. We stayed three nights at the end of an intense Greek trip to relax at the swimming pool and beach, which was exactly what we did (lying in our 4 eur/seat/day chairs) but shouldn’t have lasted any longer. Anyhow, the waiters, caddy drivers… we’re extremely friendly and professional. I admired them.

Great paradise, beautiful gardens, views, clean and beautiful, safe given the situation with covid, taken all measures, the food is good, but it is definitely not 5 star service, very rude and unfriendly staff, starting with the guards, which one morning i was returning from the beach he saw me and said that I could not stay here, I asked him why, and then he asked me if I was from the hotel and apologized, everyone in the restaurant behaved rudely and impolitely except Rado, who is a true professional and behaves kindly to everyone and does his job great, except for him everyone is rude and impolite, the hostess, extremely rude, the first night did not allow us to go to dinner because there is a mandatory dress code, my boyfriend did not wear long pants, they said either go to buy or go to dinner after 9 (given that there were 30 guests, made no exception), we were hungry and tired from the road to wait and gave 60 euros for pants from their boutique so we could go to dinner . This is funny considering that we are talking about a buffet, we have been so many times in 5 star hotels, there is no such miracle, the hotel is old and luxurious, very beautiful, but unfortunately we would not return because of the staff, the service is not more than 3 stars. what a shame, so much beauty, but this attitude...

This is one one the worst hotel i've ever been. The staff is rude and unpolite, beginning with waiters and grooms, security staff. The beach is crowded and sunbeds are chargeable, almost everything in this hotel is chargeable.

me and my partner went for a break, and we really on a whole had a very odd time, and couldn't wait to leave by the end of it. Let me be clear, the outdoor pools was fantastic, the food is great, the beach is fab. Room was alright. Staff are lovely.

But everything else was really not fantastic and not 5 star.

The spa, I honestly went here for the spa. I looked online on the hotels website that was on the QR codes at reception and decided what I wanted. I went in with my partner to book it, and I was basically told that what they offered online wasn't what the did in the spa. I had some man try and sell me and my other half £600s worth of treatments because 'they only do combined packages' we didn't want that and when we was like, no, he instantly was like oh I will do you a price where its like £400. Im not paying what I paid for my whole holiday for a 110 minute spa package. We left, I was gutted. Then to add insult to injury, the back rub I wanted was sold at discount on the day we was leaving at breakfast after being told they didn't offer that. So, thanks guys for that kick in the teeth.

We had ton of ants in our room one night; we had to get room service, there no apology.

There is no method to exchange currency at the hotel, Ive never been to a hotel that doesn't have an exchange. Not everyone that will visit you is in the eurozone. to get cash, we had to go to an ATM outside the hotel, the gate that was next to the ATM was always closed, which was stupid, we would have to jump the fence, or walk a good 15 minutes to this ATM.

Also where we was housed made no sense what so ever. We was housed in the hotel in the top part, that picture, that's on the main tag picture isn't the whole hotel.
There was no services at all in the hotel we was placed in. It seemed odd as for the majority of the time we was there, there was very very few people at the hotel. It made no sense. We had to walk a good 5-10 minutes, or hope there was a golf caddy to get breakfast and dinner because the restaurant at our hotel was closed and we also had to walk further, because the only place to get food for lunch was at the beach. Only one bar was open at the top hotel and only did drinks.

The indoor pool which we tried to use when it was raining on our last day, it was absolutely freezing, the room is like an ice box, and the pool was like swimming in an ice bath, it made no sense when you know the weather was going to be questionable.

Excursions, if you love boats, lucky you because that was all that was offered. Lets be clear, Thessaloniki is an hour ish drive. It's the second largest city in Greece. There is so much there, so much history, so much of everything that it's an insult to the region to not offer anything other than boat trips. I would have happily spent my money going to local sites and towns and going out and about on tours, rather than go swimming on a boat.

Also, the mini mart has nothing of any use, go to the place up from the bottom hotel, they do 6 bottles of water for £4. you'll be paying £4 a bottle at the hotel.

I can highly recommens to go to the Spa and have a massage like Cretan Massage or Deep tissue Massage with Melissa. She was very attentive and right on the spot when it comes to find and treat the problem spots. If you cannot choose yourself, ask Luli for her recommendation. She will advise you and direct you to the best massage option. Both very professional!

so we were there with 3 little kids and there were no activities for them at all, i read there is a mini disco on the upper part of the hotel where u need to call for a shuttle and its too complicated to go there and time consuming, on the lower part of the hotel where the beach is there are no slides or kids areas, nothing, which made it very difficult for us especially on a rainy day. The beach is great, the VIP umbrellas are amazing and obviously to pay for (huge ones to cover 4 chairs) but i thought it is a little weird that a hotel should ask for 5 euros for simple umbrellas for the guests...also weird to pay for cappuccino at bfast in a 5* hotel...un heard of to me..
otherwise, food is great at the beach restaurant, up at the main was ok
we had a nice family villa with a pool which had a living and a bedroom and was perfect to separate from kids for a bit :) also jo malone toiletries which was great! the cleaning ladies were too kind, the main restaurant people were the worst, very rude

Myself and my partner were actually staying at nearby hotel and a couple of guests told us about here, the beautiful beach and water sports and restaurant. We decided to try it out and we weren’t disappointed! The beds were €10 per day for 2 combined with lockable locker. The staff were excellent offering menus and then quick service of food and delicious cocktails. Then we met Alex from spa and he told us about a special offer so we booked in for couple of days later. We used the steam room sauna and pool (only thing needed here was water filter machines)

We then were met by Maria and Maria and we had an excellent 90 minute full body and head massage. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. Then we met with Alex and he gave us both a facial using amazing products that my partner bought me some of, happy lady all round!!
Definitely recommend if you are in the area to come and try for yourself I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

Excellent rooms and service, food was great too and the gardens are absolutely spectacular.
The beach is not far too, plus a buggy is always an option. Beach towels are provided. Please note there is a €10 fee per umbrella with two sunbeds.
The whole hospitality team was amazing.
Thalasso spa and indoor pool, and hamam are a pleasant option for a rainy day.
Looking forward to other visits in the future.

We paid for a room with view towards sea. Room was nice, equipment was a bit older but ok, the bath was leaking water. But the fact we had to pay for drinks on dinners and it was expensive was unpleasant surprise because we wanted All inclusive but the hotel doesn't give you that option. When you want to go to beach you also have to pay for towel and deck chair. For every little thing you have to pay and I mean a lot. I will not visit this hotel again.

It’s a premium option. Most of the rooms don’t have one; you can check the types of the rooms they offer, if you are interested. They offer massage sessions in cabins near beach (at least, that was a case two years ago). Happy travels😄
