When you read so many 5 star reviews, you think to yourself - can they be true ? is it so good ? So I was a little skeptical when I visited Nostos. That lasted about 20 minutes !! It is all that people say...More

We stayed at the Nostos for our silver wedding anniversary, and what a wonderful time we had. I cannot recommend the hotel enough. The hotel was immaculate, the rooms were cleaned every day. The staff were very polite and pleasant. The food in the pool...More

There is a pathway at the bottom terrace in the hotel that takes you on a zig zag path down the hillside to the beach directly below. It is a bit boulders at this point, but you walk along to the sandy part of the beach in a few minutes. The other way to do it is to walk from the hotel towards Kallithea village which takes about 3-4 minutes, then you reach a steep road down to the west end of the long stretch of beach which has lovely sun loungers and umbrellas that you can hire cheaply for the day. If you wish to walk to the other end of the beach, you can do so on the lovely sand or on the promenade which takes you to the ancient ruins of the temple of Ammon Zeus and stairs that bring you out at the village square. It needs stamina, but well worth it. The water is lovely and clear and shelves gently, great for even the most timid of swimmers....like me.

We stayed bed and breakfast and ate at the hotel in the evening apart from one night which we tried a giros from a fast food place. We did look in Kallithea and Afitos but the hotel meals seemed the best, the prices varied averaging about 3 euros starter and about 8 or 9 euros per meal, the food was lovely. The breakfast had a large choice from yoghurt, creaks, croissants, drinks and some hot food, they change some items on a daily basis.
