    Ideal place to stay
The Ionian Star hotel is perfectly located in central part of the island in the main village. The hotel is beautifully presented and centrally located. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to return again. Thanks for a very pleasant experience!

    Great hotel!!
I've actually attended this hotel twice now, once last year July and then the previous year in June. I did plan to go again this year with my daughter but things were put on hold unfortunately. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they always made sure to come and ask if you wanted or needed anything to eat or drink whilst at the pool, if you needed a cab called to take you anywhere they would do so with a smile on their face, and they would always keep your needs met. Rooms were cleaned every day, with fresh towels and sheets. Beds were very comfortable and every morning I woke up feeling refreshed, and I was 7 months pregnant last year! You either have a view of the sea which is beautiful or the pool/sea/marina which is again beautiful. You couldn't hear any noise from neighbouring rooms or from outside unless the balcony door was open. Food was really nice, breakfast was usually the same every morning but there was a nice variety which was great as I had gestational diabetes and I had to watch my blood sugar levels closely. Dinner was again varied but was different every night. Poolside/bar food was good too, it didn't take long to arrive either. The hotel itself is gorgeous, the dining area has a lovely theme to it, the lobby is very modern and the pool area is laid out nicely. There is either a lift or a spiral staircase to go up and down between floors, the lift was safe and secure (and as someone who has a phobia of lifts that says a lot!), and the stairs look out to the sea which was nice. It is also within walking distance to several beaches and beach bars, as well as the town centre, shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, pharmacies etc. I highly reccomend this hotel if anyone is planning to go away to Lefkada for a break!!!

    A lovely experience!!!
We stayed there early days of september. Me and my family enjoyed every part of it starting from our arrival into the friendly reception! The hotel is perfectly located in the central part of the island which means u can go pretty much everywhere on foot. Delicious breakfast and a big swimming pool if you decide to relax inside made our stay even better! Big thanks to everyone and hopefully we'll see you next year.

Nice boutique hotel in the center of town, great location, nice views. Pool bar, with plenty of seating. Update the bedding and you’ll get another star! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The lobby lovely and the music and incense was a welcome addition

The front desk was rude. The rooms are old and worn. Our air conditioning was funky in 90 degree weather. The lobby is unimpressive and needed a good cleaning. The location and room view are its best characteristics.

Terrible customer service receptionist name was Thomas. Very rude very on helpful last year 2022. We use the pool and facilities for 3 to 4 days. We did not have to pay an entrance fee because we was buying lunch and drinks all day spending hundred euros per day minimum this year we went there Thomas was very rude told us to leave he was in charge. We explained the owner lets us use the facilities we spend a lot of money here. He said he didn’t care to get out the hotel he obviously don’t need the money very rude person he must lose a lot of customers through his attitude. Hope this helps people avoid at all costs.

This hotel is probably the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Upon arrival the receptionist was a man called Thomas. We told him we had been before and that we knew the owner. His attitude was horrendous. He said “I don’t care if you know the owner” we were merely making conversation with him. The room was old & dated and very over priced. You never expect to be greeted with such a bad attitude. Needless to say we’ll never stay again.

Pictures of the hotel presented on the site are fake!! These are the real pictures! First impression when you arrived is that the building is abandoned. The manager was extremely rude when he was confronted about the state of the rooms. Please note we paid 200 euros per night and also paid for an upgrade. Rooms were old and looked very old fashioned. Toiletries were in awful state. Avoid this hotel.

Run down hotel more in line with a hostel. Check in staff was welcoming but that was about where us ended. Our room key opened our room and another room when we misread the room number so I felt insecure in regards to safety. Room was old, dated & much less glamorous than photos posted. They cleaned the room but it was very superficial, there were visible carpet stains and smudges on the wall… looked like someone killed some bugs. Bed was clean, we even checked under the sheets so that was the only reason I stayed the night. Bed and pillow were not comfy, mattress springs were very saggy, pillow was cheap. We chose to cut our stay down from two nights to one. We would have even left the first day day had there been a ferry available to our next destination. We left 6am the following morning. We requested a refund for the 2nd night but we’re not successful. They did offer to check for another room but we were not interested after seeing such a stark difference between listing and real time. The hotel entrance is in a pedestrian square so if you have many bags, small children or have issues with walking I would not recommend this location. Parking is also an issue in the area. When we arrived we found a spot close enough to carry our bags but later that day after returning from the beach we circled a while. A lot of traffic and we needed to park on the bridge which is a 5min walk to hotel. It’s okay to park overnight but I don’t think you could leave your car during the day. Parking would be an issue for most hotels in her area. The street were not meant for this level of tourism. Expedia sent us a request to review the hotel check in process and an opportunity to message to management. We left our comments and after doing so the hotel management actually requested we remove our post which was not actually a post but anyways it shows their intent to try and control the narrative. They claimed they actually provided us with a room higher category than the economy room we booked…I can’t imagine the room being worse… and they threatened to send the “law” after us due to us defaming their reputation.

Stayed there twice in a week. Hotel big enough for local market and nothing special. Average bed quality. Average rooms size. Average breakfast quality (nothing had a great taste and dishes variety was quite low and simple). Average hospitality from hotel staff (like I owe them money or something). Average cleanness. But price was not average and rather high. It would be my last choice at Lefkada next time.

Arrived at around 13:00 but had to wait until exactly 15:00 to check in. No exceptions, although checkout is 11:00. Good location for all parts of town. Construction on the square outside hotel. Didn’t really impact noise wise but had to drag cases from taxi. Receptionist didn’t appear happy in their work. Evening receptionist and bar staff friendly and helpful. Room a little tired but clean and quite large. Dressing table, mirror, TV, fridge, wardrobes, safe and air con. Balcony with side sea views. The pool was the main issue.. it didn’t open until 11.00 so on most days we went to beach and did a pm swim at hotel. Minimum sunbeds - around 13 for a 64 room hotel. No real reason for the late opening except ‘cleaning’ but not cleaned daily. A lot of people from outside the hotel (it seemed off yachts)hogging sunbeds and allowing their kids to scream and shout so not exactly peaceful. Pool area is pretty but not managed well for residents in hotel. It was one of the hottest weeks in Greece so the pool should have been open much earlier…

My recent stay here was simply exceptional. Aris' warm and accommodating nature made our last-minute booking stress-free. The spacious room with air conditioning was perfect for the summer heat, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The Greek breakfast included was delicious, and the owner's local recommendations made exploring the area a breeze. I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable experience on this beautiful Greek island
