Lovely place. We are hoping to go again. Pool very clean Apartment very clean. Food in the snack bar is good value and good quality. In a quiet location. Views from aprt 1 are stunning. Family that run it are really helpful and friendly. The car hire through Tsaros is very good value. Beach is lovely and if you walk along a bit you can find a nice quiet space. A little bit further away is Arillas beach, up the hill and along a windy path down the cliff. This is also a lovely beach and the sea is calmer on windy days. If you want night life this isn't he town for you, but if you want peace and quiet, beautiful sunsets and olive groves this is fantastic.
We were dropped off outside the silver star by the jet2 transfer , to be collected by thanassis with a car and his mini bus , it was quite late at night , we got straight to the apartment, and never really noticed the hill (still makes me sweat thinking about it ), nice clean basic 2 bedroom all one landing , a kitchenette double sink with dining table and chairs , nice bathroom with shower unit , plenty storage in the rooms for clothing , beds unfortunately were real tough to get used to , they were real hard , I know it’s not like your own bed but tried everything to make it more comfy with the extra covers , both bedrooms doors opened onto a large balcony that has table and chairs outside , the walk to the pool and pool bar is fine , just make sure you listen for the drivers…
Nice welcome at the bus, then popped into a mini bus outside Barras apts,to be taken up to the apts. it was late so straight into our large studio for the 3 of us. nice and clean...beds very very hard and the bed sofa very mega hard, placed 2 blankets under this for my teenager. one of the patio doors had a mozzie screen up which was useful. my son and hubby got bit most nights even wearing spray etc. it was very hot. meals at the pool bar were brill, the prices too, the views were stunning, the pool was lovely, and most people had visited these apartments before . 5 mins down the hill is a great supermarket which then leads to the beach if you eat and drink at Mistral or waves sunbeds are free, we chose mistral for this, and lunch was super tasty. Mountain bike hire 7 euros for…
Travelled as a party of three families, & occupied two apartments. Firstly, if you don’t like climbing a really steep hill everyday, then this isn’t the place for you. We were met at the bottom of the hill & taken to our apartments. We asked for the air conditioning remote & said we’d pay in the morning as it was late & we were all tired. The apartment was basic, but clean, but the beds are hard as bricks. The following morning we went for breakfast which was €6 including tea, coffee & juice. We were then met by the owner who wanted €7 per apartment tax, & the air conditioning money which was €70 for the two weeks. Very steep considering there’s only one air con unit in the lounge. After breakfast we headed to the small, but adequate pool. The sunbeds are situated around the…
Family of 4 stayed for one week. Everything we needed, 2mins walk to the beach and 1 min to the pool. San Stefanos is lovely and not to busy, with everything you need. Boat rental from the beach is recommended for exploring the coast and coves, head up the hill for a superb restaurant and view of sunset. The view from the villa is the best of the block room 9, loads of space and the air con worked great once paid for which is a must. The beds are a little hard for my taste but talking to others this is a theme across Greece.
We didnt stay at the apartments but use their car rental twice. It was super easy and everyone was very lovely. I would recommend thier car rental to anyone. You can also use their pool even if you arent staying there which is fantastic.
Stunning views, lovely, helpful, friendly staff. Beds too hard to sleep on. Towels not changed in a week. Very windy pool area due to altitude. 2 bed apt very large with 2 large bedrooms and enormous terrace. Bar and snacks good and reasonably priced.
These apartments are fab! We had a studio apartment which was still really spacious with a big balcony and full kitchen including a large fridge/freezer and electric kettle! The bathroom had a powerful shower, one if the best I have had in a Greek island apartment. The pool area is lovely with sun beds and brollies, always managed to get one during our stay in September. The pool bar was very reasonably priced and the owners are extremely friendly as were the regulars. All were happy to chat and offer tips about the village and places to eat, but also happy to let you be if that is what you prefer. The apartments are up a hill which is steep in a place but take it steady and you will be fine. The were 70+ year old staying there so doable by all ages. At the bottom of the hill…
Spent a week here but will be for longer next time! We had a 2 bed apartment which was extremely clean and spacious. The balcony was wonderful with a lovely view and peaceful. The pool area was also very clean with comfortable sun loungers. The food was reasonably priced and we felt welcome at all times. The much mentioned hill is definitely there. But we are both very overweight with dodgy joints and made the walk from the pool to the highest apartments with no problems. We also went to the top of the hill to watch the amazing sunsets. However, I confess we drove in and out of the the village. We liked Agios Stefanos as it is relaxed with a couple of supermarkets, access to the beach and a range of eateries.
We’ve just returned from a week at Tsaros apartments. We were in 9, which is a two bedroom first floor apartment, with a fantastic view down to the beach from the balcony. The apartment was totally adequate for our needs - we LOVED the fact there was a freezer!!! We filled it with lolly ices. It was spotlessly clean, and was cleaned daily. The girls that did the cleaning were really pleasant; we ran into them a few times when rain delayed play in the mornings. I would highly recommend paying a bit extra for air con. The apartment could get very stuffy, and it was worth every penny. The only downsides were that the beds were very hard - although we did get used to this within a day or two, and the shower cubicle was very small. This may be fairly standard in Greek…
