Get a superior room that has a view of the old fort, it's well worth it. The hotel could do with a bit of an upgrade, but it's comfortable, with a great location. The old town is right behind, the famous Liston just down the road and most sites are within easy walking distance. It's good value for the money. Restaurants and trendy bars start next door.
This is an older hotel that's had updates. The location is really great, it's right at the end of the Corfu Town area, easy walking distance to all the sites you want to see. There is a terrific bar just across the street that overlooks the water where we had a drink and watched the people go by. We had a very nice time here.
The location overlooking The Esplanade and Old Fortress, plus close proximity to Old Town, are the best features of this hotel. Unfortunately, the roof garden had just closed for the winter the day before we arrived, despite the beautiful spring-like weather. Staff were very helpful. Room was comfortable but water pressure in the shower and toilet were VERY slow and low. Would have been nice to have had normal 4 star hotel amenities (e.g. hand lotion) and tissues. Breakfast was minimal but acceptable.
This taller older styled Villa is now a middle- tier refurbished hotel with a lift to all floors. The top floor open terrace offers spectacular views over the Ionian Sea,the Fort, and Old Corfu town. It is wonderful to eat and drink under the stars. The modernised ensuite room I occupied was spacious, comfortable and fairly quiet most of the time. Large casement windows open onto a quaint Corfiot narrow back street, with views along it to the sea. All amenities nearby.
At 8.30 in the evening, we visited the roof top bar, as we always do, while in corfu town. We ordered 2 cocktails, a coffee and a tea. Waiter took the order for cocktails but when we asked for the coffee and tea he looked towards a gentleman sitting at the bar who shook his head and said no, no coffee or tea. Hard to believe. Customer service obviously not a priority. Very disappointed.
