We were greeted by Niki, who remembered us from two years ago! This year we were in room number 23, which overlooks both the pool and across the bay to Sami! The views are just fabulous! All the staff are so friendly and always find time to make all the guests feel at home - nothing is too much trouble!... More

A lovely hotel with an amazing view over the coast of Inthaca, just cross the road and you are at a small pebble beach with water that is crystal clear, if you like swimming in the sea it is worth buying shoes for the water they are only about seven euros and you can buy them in one of the... Just back from 2 weeks at the gonatas hotel in agia efimia. Really one of the best hotels we have stayed in on any Greek island, the only down side was our bathroom was very tiny but we coped. Nicki , one of the family who own and run the hotel was great , nothing too much trouble for her, towels... More

Just spent two glorious weeks in this lovely family run hotel. The views are spectacular and sitting under the awning near the pool in the mornings reading was idyllic. Nikki is a wonderful hostess and produced a lovely variety of tasty things for the breakfast buffet. We will return!

The Gonatas is billed as a hotel, but is, in effect, a large 19 roomed B and B. It is situated on the far edge of Agia Efimia, so benefits from peace and quiet but also only being a few minutes walk from the town and its tavernas. Nicky, the owner, will greet you on arrival and help you to... More

Small and friendly little hotel which we have visited previously and nothing had changed. Make sure you ask for a sea view room on the top 2 floors and not at ground level or you won't be able to see anything. End rooms are quieter. Breakfast is a self service buffet, tea, coffee, boiled eggs, cake, cereal, bread and the... More

The hotel is in a lovely spot at the end of the bay so it is very peaceful. Everything was spotlessly clean and the owners were very kind and helpful. Breakfasts were rather meagre and having to pay extra for yoghurt and honey does seem rather mean but the eggs were good and there was fresh bread. The coffee was... More

Bit late with this as we went last summer. Lovely place and so friendly, great location too. Only 2 main criticisms really are the lack of sunbeds and of those that are there many were broken, verging on dangerous really. Thomas Cook and Sunvil should review this. Also breakfast nice but very basic and geared more to those with a... More
