#1 of 6 hotels in Khalkis
Greek hospitality and unique views just a short distance from the city center. Situated on the slope of a forested hill, below the Ottoman Fort on the west bank of the Strait of Evripus, Hara hotel offers unpretentious hospitality near the old bridge and the city centre. Most of its 50 rooms, of different types, offer sea views which can really be appreciated from the 6th floor Heaven roof garden where breakfast, coffee, dinner and drinks are served.

The views are very nice overlooking the Chalkida. Needs improvement: the service. The place needs a refreshment of furniture and decoration. The food is more than average (around 3,5/5). We tried the BAOs but there were not so good. Neither the tempura. But the linguini with shrimps was very fresh and fine in tasting.

We spent a night with the family during easter at Hara hotel. Hotel does not have a parking available and parking in nearby streets was a hustle due to heavy traffic on Easter days where people flood Halkida. Check in and check out was smooth. Breakfast was good even though there was not enough omelette for people to get and we had to ask for more, which was again not enough. Hotel roof bar had amazing view and drinks/ cocktails were nice. Room was OK and clean, but bathroom did not have a glass cover so when we took showers the bathroom was literally flooded. Room views were amazing from the balcony although the distance between the balcony protective irons were quite big which could be dangerous for little kids. For 70 euro per night I`d anticipate for hotel slippers to be provided as well, but unfortunately they were not. Overall good hotel, if it was for 40-50 eur per night I`d consider it a bargain, for 70 euro definitely not.

Perfect place for a weekend excursion. Great view to Chalkis and Evia from the roof garden or the rooms above 3rd floor with front view. Very clean, spacious and light rooms with comfortable bed and extra pillows. The breakfast included has variety. Value for money. Free parking outside the hotel.

Stayed there on a business trip and I can tell it is good for its class. Front sea rooms, spectacular view from roof garden, where the breakfast room is located. Breakfast is good quality, not great variety but good enough to get your morning strength. Clean rooms, not spacious though, willing to help personnel! Free parking spaces available in front of the hotel or the roads nearby. Have stayed in 3 different hotels in Chalkida, and I think it is cozy utmost. I will get back there next month!
