Location amazing, you have everything on your doorstep. Park on the surrounding roads over the bridge for free parking rather than paying the 14 euros a day. The beds are rock hard, so not the greatest sleep to be had and the decor in some of the bedrooms is quite tired and needs a spruce up. Staff are lovely and friendly. Breakfast is average but the views are great from the dining room and really nice to start the morning with..oh and the coffee is good! We had a family interconnecting room which was a good deal but you do not get sea views with these. Housekeeping exceptional!!! Very clean. I would stay again.
I wrote in Expedia a bad review because we had to change rooms becuse of AC but at least they tried to improve. we lost our small bags with computers but at least they found them. Good things LOCATION is great You can walk in front of hotel Sea view. Pleasant feeling about town. It has a garage . Included breakfast.
I stayed 3 nights in Lucy Hotel. The staff is pleasant and efficient. breakfast menu was good. Every evening there was noise (kind of music) until midnight coming into my room from the restaurants along the sea, just below the hotel. I was on the 5th floor and I still heard the noise pretty well. There was internet, but the signal stopped frequently and the line is super slow; I could not even listen to internet radio. The hotel is pretty old-fashioned and the infrastructure is just about ok, but no more than that.
The view is fantastic, the bathroom clean, but no soaps, only liquid. You feel like you are in summer because the streets just in front of the hotel is full of people. The elevator needs the key room to work. No second key available! Good value for money
This is by far the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in. The carpets and decor in the room were filthy, but worst of all is the noise from the bars situated directly under the hotel - both of which play loud music until the early hours. I have no idea how this hotel gets away with this - how can paying guests be expected to sleep with this racket?? I moved room to the back of the hotel but could still hear the loud music. Total disgrace unless your ok going to bed in a tired room after 1am. I won’t be back.
Once again this hotel doesn’t fail, the hub of the town where all things can be viewed. Lucky enough to visit over Greek Easter and got a ringside view of all the celebrations and topped off with a fly past from the Red Arrows, complete with smoke effect. Staff fantastic and can’t do enough to help make your stay as pleasant as possible. Good value for money, clean and close to all required amenities. Can’t recommend highly enough.
It is a very good located hotel and clean rooms .The reception very kindly people, and polite. We had a room ocean view,i paid more ,but the view was fantastic, the bathroom clean, but no soaps, only liquid. The breakfast was just average and the restaurant, the cart very poor, very late service ,only two people and the first plate ,needs 45 minutes. The food was very good, but with two customers, the have only one fish. We were the first to entry in the room.
From the entrance to the room you feel the nature of hospitality. All staffs are part of your family. Clean and large rooms with sea view. In March you feel like you are in summer because the streets just in front of the hotel is full of people.
We have been with our two years son just for a night. In the beginning they give us a very old room with a small window very dirty ,the carpet was full of stains and moldy.I think this room was stuff room. The 50+ years old hotel looks and feels that nothing has changed for half century. The cheating photos hide the dirt all over the building, inside and outside. The elevetor needs the key room to work. So, either you get an unpleasant exercise using the steps (four floors in my case) or you leave the room in the dark! No second key available!
This is one city hotel I would highly reccomend without doubt. For those visiting Evia, the capital of Chalkida is probably the best place to start. So centralized to visit other places on the island making it a real perk for your holiday. Lucy hotel is actually along the waterfont and you could be mistaken for thinking it was 10 star as it offers every comfort one could ask for. The staff are impecable, always on hand and attentative to your every need. The sea front is full of cafe bars and restaurants so there is no need to go far to find a place to relax. On the opposite side of the channel there are beautiful beaches for swimming and the view from the hotel balcony is astounding. For those of you who know my reviews here on Trip Advisor as always, I wait for any questions you may have about this hotel or Chalkida. Well worth a visit.…
