We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel is a good 15-20minute walk downhill into Parga town ..taxi costs €5 each way. Our room was spacious with a large balcony, basic furnishings, very comfy bed and large balcony overlooking car park … No tea/coffee making facilities even though it states the room has a kettle provided? Because of Covid the rooms are only serviced when you ask, which I found a bit embarrassing, having to ask for clean towels & loo paper!! Breakfast is not great .. very basic, they ran out of teabags for two days ! Not enough choice of fruit and we were only told 4 days into the holiday that you could ask for Americano or cappuccino etc ? The staff at breakfast who double up as the cleaners look like they don’t want to be there… very miserable. The welcome at this hotel was short & sweet, customers in and out every day. Pool area is peaceful but there are building works going on around so you can hear that. I feel for us that this hotel up a very steep hill was a little out of town for us and the expense of taxis sometimes 4 a day added to the cost of the holiday so 10 days x €20 a day €200 …… All in all we had a lovely holiday in Parga ans we hope to revisit but will probably choose a hotel in the town area x…
We stayed in Racconto for 4 nights during our 2 week stay in Greece. First we want to give a shout out to the receptionists Nikkos and Evi, they were both very kind, professional and helpful with our stay!! The hotel is located quite uphill, if you don’t have a (rental) car you have to either walk or pay for a taxi if you want to go downtown parga. The hotel is an adults only, which was quite nice and quiet during the first days of our stay. The beds at the pool were very nice and comfortable. The hotel in overall was very very clean and well maintained. The breakfast unfortunately was average. Only black filter coffee available, some croissants, yoghurt, eggs and cold cuts. Comparable to other Boutique hotels we have visited, the breakfast was poor in choices. However it is super nice to sit outside and have breakfast by the pool, when the weather is really warm, you quite melt away outside. Maybe an idea to have ventilators outside? The room we had was quite basic and to be honest not the room we expected if we had to believe the photos we checked before we booked. We had a view at the car parking and a very small balcony. The beds were very comfortable and we slept very well with a perfect working airconditioning. If you want to have lunch, there is the possibility to order take away which you have to eat in your room. That was a bit surprising, but doable.…
The room was very clean. The style of the rooms and the hotel was basic but cozy. The stuff was very helpful. The location it is 5minute from the center of parga. It is hotel for adults. So it was quite.
We were lucky to be hosted in a "adults only"boutique hotel, placed in a quiet green location with a dreaming pool and total white minimal decoration! With high covid precautions the friendly staff was discreet but helpful .. Clean and comfortable bedrooms with open space bathrooms!
Great host and nice hotel just outside Parga. Very clean room and confortable beds. The pillows where not up to the expected quality. They tended to be hard and heavy making sleeping restless. The pool is situated in the 1st floor and is very enjoyable to sit and have breakfast in the morning.
Racconto is definitely an oasis in the paradise of Parga. Set in the peaceful hills outside Parga, it’s the perfect location to relax and de stress. After breakfast by the pool, you can choose to relax around the pool, or take a short stroll into Parga to enjoy the beaches (Racconto even provide beach towels!) The welcome cocktail is very nice indeed, expertly prepared and invented by Spiros. The short driveway from the main road certainly gets your heart pumping, but a taxi from the town centre is only €5. The rooms are to a very high standard, and nothing is to much trouble from all the staff. You can even get a massage by the pool or in your own room! Can’t wait to return for our third visit in Sept 2020 🤞
A fantastic get away to paradise, beautiful hotel, lovely staff, nothing is too much trouble... A taste of paradise. The staff couldn't do enough for you, Al fresco eating and great choice of take away food if you can't be bothered to walk into town. Would visit again...
I want to start by saying, parga is a wonderful place and the hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. But.. The hotel us situated on the hill from hell!!! And we had to get a cab back from the town, everyday! The hotel itself is lovely the sun loungers are comfortable but not very practical, and the are not enough for the amount of guests that are ablt to be accommodated there. FOOD... Well, breakfast, we hardly ever ate it, not very good (considering how the hotel portray themselves), couldn't get any food during the day or night (unless you want toasted cheese, ham, tomato sandwich) or a takeaway!!! Really!! When I emailed hotel pe-holiday they advised a chef was being employed, they never arrived!! The rooms (not the suites that are always shown in the pictures) are clean but average, nothing to shout about. We had a lovely holiday, and would definitely return to Parga but, not this hotel.…
The Hotel is fabulous and the staff amazing especially Stella. We had room 202 which has an amazing balcony that wraps around the full width of the room with amazing views. The space inside is fantastic with a beautiful bathroom with full width shower. The pool area is so relaxing and water was given to you by the Spiros. Only 1 thing that let it down the music( BossaNova not our cup of tea )The Hotel is set up a road off the main road and the last 50mtrs is a very steep incline. We did it twice then got a taxi back the rest of the holiday which was the best 5 euros spent. If you need to book a hire car do this thru the Hotel they were very helpful and reliable. Also the bottle of Presseco on the last night of our stay was a very nice touch.
Just returned from a week at Racconto, what a great place to stay. The place was absolutely spotless, how they keep it’s perfectly white surfaces and shiny floors so clean is a work a mystery known only to the housekeepers who seemed to work endlessly to keep the place white and bright. Everything about this hotel was inspiring from the huge chandelier in the entrance to the views of the mountains behind. We stayed in a suite and had our own private garden which was peaceful, tranquil and relaxing. We spent time by the pool which was again spotless with the most luxurious sun beds I’ve ever laid on. Whoever designed this hotel really wanted to go zen and they achieved it in spades! The whole atmosphere was overseen by the most attentive and friendly staff I’ve ever experienced. I’m sure if we’d asked if they could change the colour of the sunset lovely Stella and Areti would have tried to achieve it! The bar was attended by Spiros (and Christoph) who maintained the zen like experience with peaceful music and such a peaceful personality. It’s a short walk and longer amble into Parga but once you leave the lively cosmopolitan town you return to the dark and peace of Racconto with its supremely comfortable beds and silent dark nights. If you’re looking for a hideaway where you can spend your days undisturbed and relaxed then this is your place. Just perfect.…
