We were booked for 8 nights. After 1 night we asked if we could move. We were aware that other studios would be vacated in a couple of days but were told they were for repeat guests. The bedroom and bathroom in our studio were accessed by a steep staircase with two 90 degree turns. The lower floor is tiny and the dining area is a 2x3 foot board fixed to the wall under the stairs. No window in this room. We left after 6 nights. Great views from the bedroom and shared balcony and a quiet location but certainly not worth the price. We felt ripped off !

It was my first time in Symi and I am glad I stayed in this wonderful apartment by the sea. Odyssia is a self contained apartment and it is nice and regularly cleaned. The view of Symi from the apartment is spectacular! The place is run by a family and they also have a restaurant downstairs which is serving tasty Greek food for affordable prices! What impressed me most about Odyssia was the hospitality of Manolis (the owner) and his daughter Katholiki. They both made me feel home… I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone…

Perfect location! Great views across the harbour and the direction of the balcony means you can sit out and enjoy the view in the evenings without getting blasted by the sun! It’s just around the corner from the main drag of bars and restaurants so is quieter (important when the road is tiny and there are bikes whizzing around). The hosts gave us a very warm welcome and were very helpful throughout our stay. The room was great - very comfortable bed - great water pressure in the shower and spotlessly cleaned daily. Having a little kitchenette enabled us to have enough space for drinks and snacks. We ate at the restaurant a few times - the food is superb and the best we had on the island by far. We will definitely return one day.

The apartments are located in a very good location, with fantastic views of Symi. They are operated by a lovely family, who also operate the restaurant below, which offers great food. The apartment offers good self catering facilities, comfortable bed and a good shower. The owners very kindly collected us from the port. This being said, upon our departure, we walked to the ferry. Symi, is a lovely town with plenty of bars and restaurants. Its also a very quiet and peaceful town. St Nicholas beach is fabulous, great facilities and restaurant. Just 6 euros on water taxi from Pedi.

The apartments are in a quiet location but within walking distance to the main town. You have wonderful views overlooking the crystal clear waters of Symi . You can relax with a glass of wine/beer in the sun and watch the world pass by - The hosts and housekeeping were excellent and we dinned in the restaurant most nights . PERFECT We recommend these apartments you will not be disappointed Our only regret was not staying longer Many thanks Trev&Chris Collings

Just returned from a two night stay. Originally booked for one night but after checking in decided we wanted to extend our stay. We were allocated apartment #1 which was absolutely perfect with stunning views. The apartment was large and cleaned each day. I cannot wait to stay here again

Stayed here for 4 nights in October. The owner picked us up from the ferry port and was a wonderful host. Lovely views and cannot fault the place at all. Grab a bottle of wine get the cheese in and sit back on that balcony and watch the world go by. Symi is lovely and by staying here its a perfect location for resturants, bars and the harbour with all the amazing boats moored up. Would go back in a heartbeat. Book it you wont regret it.

Based on a recommendation of greek friends we had been planning to come for a number of years when finally this year we could make it. We were travelling with children aged 3 and 6 and the biggest reason to book here was that we had heard the restaurant/food was good and it was convenient with apartments just above the restaurant (the children could access without having to cross a street). We had reserved for 11 days and could not wait. Day of arrival: 1. nobody was there at the ferry pick up, scorching sun with 2 kids we were finally picked up after 30 minutes. 2. We drive up to the property and see the restaurant closed, when i ask the owner he says ‘ah maybe I forgot to tell you’. 3. After I verified their website again and no mention about closing the restaurant ( and they had plenty of opportunity as we had been in constant communication with Manoles and Aggeliki), our only assumption is that they have been dishonest by not telling us. 4. I approached Manoles and calmly tell him I am not happy and will want to book another hotel. He gets angry shouts and demands i pay him for the whole stay, and walks off without being able to speak rationally. You do not treat guests like that, we are a family trying to enjoy a long awaited holiday and if anything we are the ones that have a justification to be unhappy. 5. The saga does not finish there, after an hour i return to Manoles to tell him I will pay for one night. He calls the police, they come and quickly see that he has been unreasonable and agree with me and help me resolve the issue, Manoles finally ‘agrees’ that we can leave. I offered to pay for one night to try and keep things correct but I guess his pride got the better of him and he refused my money. In summary a nightmare. We were lucky to find a much more pleasant and friendly accommodation closer to the harbour for the remainder of our stay. Hopefully we can recover from the horrible start of the trip. This is not to be unfair to Odyssia as many people have had great stays and the reviews reflect that. However anyone staying should know that there is no restaurant, to not be informed of this is dishonest and/or lacking real attention to your guests.

Thank you for your review, we always welcome reviews from our guests positive or not. In this case your review was negative which I will deal with in a fair and reasonable manner. We offer our guests courtesy free transport from the ferry to our accommodation. On the day of your arrival we were unfortunately delayed due to unforeseen circumstances and matters beyond our control. We did say sorry for the delay and your family was the first to be transported to the accommodation. I quite understand your disappointment at finding our Restaurant had been unable to open due to the current situation with the Covid pandemic. When you booked in May, 2021 it was not our wish for the restaurant to remain closed but we have continually assessed the situation to see if it is possible to open; this is true for many businesses. The pandemic is a very fluid situation and difficult for businesses and consumers alike. The Restaurant is a public restaurant and not exclusive to the accommodation and with no booking to our restaurant by your family or expression you wished to do so, you were not informed the restaurant had not opened. There is no obligation to any of our guests that they must use our Restaurant. Given these uncertain and unusual times you could have checked that the facility would be available, considering the emphasis you wish to state regarding refusal to pay the cancellation fee for the accommodation. It was your decision to cancel the accommodation for 11 days on arrival, it was not unreasonable for us to request you pay the 40% cancellation fee as per our website. If you had booked to eat in the restaurant or had made it known to me that you did not wish to stay at the accommodation if the Restaurant would not be open, then I would have contacted you. I do not assume all guests booking our accommodation will wish to eat at the Restaurant or have only booked our accommodation because of our Restaurants reputation. There are 5 restaurants within a 5 minute walk and over 15 restaurants in 10 to 15 minutes walk of the accommodation. You make the assumption and write we have been dishonest, which is an insult couldn’t be further from the truth and you would know to be incorrect if you checked your facts and digested the comments made by many of our guests, some who have been booking our accommodation for over 17 years. It was your right to cancel the accommodation as per our booking terms on our website and to choose to go to another hotel. Manolis told you that he would require payment for the cancellation. After one hour you return to Manolis and tell him you will only pay for one night. You made a contract when you booked our accommodation and we kept the booking for your family since May, 2021. You could have requested we consider compensating you for their being no Restaurant facility, but no you, decided you was not going to pay for the accommodation. Yes the Police were called to record the facts. which is in the interest of both parties. The Police did not agree with you as you state, or suggest Manolis was unreasonable, they simply recorded the facts. Manolis agrees you can leave without payment as he did not want your trouble. Offering to pay 1 night does not amount to correctness as you are well aware.
